19.01.2022 Answering Our Most Common Questions. What do the buildings sit on? If you are looking at a home office then it can simply sit on solid, flat, level ground. However, if you have uneven ground or plan on having plumbing connected to the building then you will need piers for the building to sit on. 19.01.2022 Answering Our Most Common Questions. How does the plumbing and electrical work? Our portable buildings are fully wired ready for you to engage a local electrician to connect your building to your power source. We also provide all plumbing provisions to below floor level ready for you to engage a local plumber to connect the building to mains water and sewer. 17.01.2022 Answering Our Most Common Questions. Do our Buildings Require Council Approval? This is the most common question we hear. With approximately 150 councils in NSW, there are varying regulations regarding portable buildings and portable granny flats. We recommend you contact your local council, find out the local regulations about portable buildings and portable granny flats then contact us on 1300 656 632 so we can assist further on whether you need approval or not and what type of building is suitable for your local area.

14.01.2022 Answering Our Most Common Questions. How much is the cost of transportation? We use specialist companies A Plus Towing in the ACT and Ad Tilt Transport in Newcastle. For distances over 100km from Queanbeyan or Newcastle the cost is $4 per km for buildings up to 8m in length and $6 per km for buildings 9m to 15m in length. Delivery costs for distances under 100km are usually based on a minimum 2 hour charge. 12.01.2022 Answering Our Most Common Questions. How do I get the building into its desired location? We deliver all our buildings using a tilt tray truck. If the truck cannot place the building into your desired location on your property then you will most likely need to hire a crane to lift the building off the truck and into position. Our buildings are structurally engineered to be lifted by a crane and we have worked with numerous crane operators throughout NSW. Our Standard Buildings do not have any external cladding over the top of the cool room paneling. With our premium range you get a choice of Vinyl Cladding or Colourbond Cladding. 09.01.2022 Another happy AJC Portables customer! Damian Hall shared an album to AJC Portabless Timeline. To Andrew and the team at AJC Portables, thank you for delivering the new Granny Flat for our Mum, she loves it! It has been a long journey for us, but it was finally lifted into place yesterday.... For those interested, this is a 14m x 3.4m building and we customised the 2 bedroom design (plan R i think) into a 1 bedroom and some other minor changes. The building was transported by Aplus Towing on their awesome tilt trailer and expertly placed in our front yard back in October. Then Capital Cranes did a fantastic job in lifting the building over our house into the backyard. Big thanks again to AJC Portables!
