If you have vehicles insured with us, please organise your tow to the repairer of your choice or a safe location, keep your receipt and contact us as soon as practical. Review press releases from government around temporary financial relief and stimulus available to you also. Speak with your personal banks around temporary hiatus of payments and interest also. 09.01.2022 This weekend brought unprecedented storm activity to our local Penrith area with flooding in some parts. We have had several claims come through so far this morning and ask any of our customers who have claims to get in touch ASAP so we can get the wheels turning today. I thought i'd provide some broad commentary around what i as an insurance broker and the wider industry is doing in order to try and mitigate the issues our customers are facing in regards to COVID 19 AJ Insurance Services is working with customers providing risk management advice specific to their needs. This includes security measures for unoccupied premises, risk management for food service businesses and methods to redu...ce insurance expense during this period. We are also liaising with insurers about customers with unoccupied property risks, gaining clarification around wording limits on unoccupancy and whether there is flexibility to those wordings should circumstances continue to prevent trade. The industry at large is also working to reduce liability insurance cost mid term and on renewal for companies facing forced closure due to COVID 19. This is a critical cost for most businesses where risk is largely reduced should trade not occur. What we are finding however, is that there is very little understanding about the policy itself, who has a cyber risk exposure and what is required when cyber crime occurs to your business. We are going to do a series of posts addressing the issues surrounding cyber insurance. Firstly, lets start at the beginning... Who does cyber risk effect and who should thus purchase cyber cover?... 02.01.2022 This post and research by the choice group was brought to my attention today. Some of these insurers that supposedly have your best interests at heart couldnt give two stuffs when they are using fire definitions like this! I stress to everyone around me the importance of an insurance broker, where in most cases they should have knowledge of the ins and outs of these technical wordings.... This sort of thing is not in anyway discussed within the direct insurance field that these companies service and their customers are being left to foot the bill of things they never should have.

01.01.2022 All too often I hear of the additional suffering people go through after these horrific fires because they werent given any advice, or the correct advice with relation to cover on their home insurance. 70% of people are likely to need to double the cover on their home and contents insurance to be adequately covered in a total loss scenario, especially where your existing dwelling is older then 10 years. If you are going through this fire period doubting your insurance cove...r, then you absolutely must review and seek professional advice.
