25.01.2022 Hi to all the relatives, the tree has grown with more than 2200 individuals covering more than 780 families, however I do need more help from you. There are branches of our families that have minimal information, that is partners names, place of birth, date of birth or even their partners parents details are missing. In addition where there have been divorces, death and new births, marriage of your children, siblings etc. I know this seems nosy but I would like to update our ...family history. With information from those that I have been able to gather, we now have our ancestors back to 1720, which now places the tree at least 10 generations. 24.01.2022 Thanks to my daughter Rebecca, we had the opportunity to catch up with relatives at Violet Town, Jeffery and his daughters and Laurice, what a great opportunity to get together and swap information. Informed of more relatives that reside in Violet Town as well as news that our great grandfathers house still stands today. Able to see photos never seen and obtained more information from Laurice and Alanna, thanks for the meeting all.

18.01.2022 It has been amazing catching up with relatives over the past three weeks. Family members that I don’t think I ever met before or if I did it was a very long time to. 17.01.2022 Hi everyone, I haven’t told you my name. I am Alfred John Welsh, more commonly called John or known by some as Long John.

13.01.2022 The hunt continues. As you know I have been attempting to update the family tree of those that can trace their lineage back to Thomas and Catherine Welsh of Boho in Victoria. With the fantastic help of relatives that I have never met or at least not caught up with for a long time, I feel that we are making progress. There are currently just over 2300 individual people, however not all are descendants, I have included some of their ancestors as well.... I understand that everyone has time constraints and therefore unable to provide information, but I’m sure it will get done. On the other hand catching up with family members and talking about their stories of their lives and their own relatives has added much more than just a name in a tree. It’s a pity that the program I’m using includes a little room for photos and stories but it will never do justice to the knowledge contained within our family. You can help by sending the webpage to all your family contacts to date I am missing siblings from the original family. I have been working on the basis of attempting to find contacts in each child of Thomas and Catherine. I have basic information on all the original children (descendants) however I have more recent data from Mary Jane, John (Jack), Robert, Alexander, Henry (Harry) and I am seeking updates for Christina, Clara, Catherine, James (Jim), George, Selina. If you have any contact with family members, would you please include them in the page, I would like to find relatives from each and every branch. The way the forest is growing, I predict that we may have the largest family group in Australia, I base that on what we have identified against those that have not been contacted and yet to be included, we may possibly get well above 3000-4000 connected (maybe only by blood) if some of the stories I hear are true. I would like to think that is is time that family issues that have driven us apart, should perhaps be discussed and resolved and we reconcile, after all we are family. If you are aware of anyone from the missing branch members, I have split the family tree into individual branches based on the original children and I can email the details to anyone so they can see what we have and what we need to be added. 12.01.2022 Descendants and their relatives of Thomas and Catherine Welsh of Boho, Victoria. I’m looking for you!!! Can you trace a relative back along a line that commenced with the marriage of this couple at Melbourne, way back in 1868... I am fifth generation and I am looking at updating the family tree last undertaken in 2009; thereby completing an accurate family tree that can trace is lineage back to this pair. If you think you maybe be related and are interested in helping complete this tree please contact me. Currently I have over 1700 people (twiglets) in 513 families that make up this forest. The disappointing thing is that some data is incomplete such as surnames of spouses, date and place of marriage, date and place of death, children’s names, date and place of birth and any marriages and children arising from same. I am happy to share this data with any person that would like it. At this stage, I would like to be the person that enters the data into the tree for consistency, but this may change. I would also be seeking someone in later generations taking on the task and maintaining the tree. My great grandfather is Alexander Fergus Welsh.
