24.01.2022 MAKE SURE YOUR COVERED You need to make sure your guests are covered should the unexpected happen. That means being properly insured. Sadly, many owners letting out a spare room don't think about insura, so expose themselves to massive financial risk. Public liability insurance is an essential.

17.01.2022 BUDGETING FOR ROOM & HOUSEKEEPING SUPPLIES Everything from cleaning supplies to toilet paper to light globes can land in this category. B&Bs are so diverse that this could vary greatly. Industry study of operations and finance suggests that, depending on the size and location of your B&B, the cost of room and housekeeping supplies should run between one and a half to two and a half percent of your estimated revenues.

15.01.2022 Wowcheck out the new uniform with sneakers to match for @alanandeveseden_ acquired from @kittendamour so appropriately named from a collection 'The Lucky Country'. The collection fits in so well with our bush experience here at www.alanandeveseden.com.au
14.01.2022 This is what we spend the remaining time of our life doing, being entertained by our grand daughter. Here she is, found a piano at Costo, Perth and promptly sat to play to a great applause from the customers in the store. She is a happy chappy and we were proud grand parents.
14.01.2022 This goes for any relationships. Whether they be personal or business the same principle applies. So yourself first, cause you are very important.
13.01.2022 Summer is the time for fresh fruits and salads. We do these for our guests @alanandeveseden_ All our produce is homegrown or locally sourced.

05.01.2022 CREATING CLEAR POLICIES Setting fair and consistent policies is good for you and your guests. Such policies take away any uncertainty guests may have about what is acceptable, and policies help you ensure that no guests infringe on the rights of others ,during their stay. Consider the following when setting your policies:- Make note of policies you like and dislike. Use other B&Bs as a guideline. Your B&B is unique, so your policies should be too. ... Have your policies included in your room booklet. See more

03.01.2022 SEEING EVERYONE AS A POTENTIAL GUEST Whether you think of yourself as a salesperson or not, you are. Everyone, everywhere is a potential guest. You have the non-stop job of selling your B&B to everyone you come in contact with. Here are some ways to constantly be ready to promote your B&B. Always carry a supply of business cards or brochures with you. Have shirts made with your B&B 's name snd logo and wear them. Include an email signature with your B&B information on all your emails.
01.01.2022 TRACKING TRENDS AND THE UNEXPECTED Unexpected results can be good or bad news, and both provide important information on how to grow your business. During periods where your overall results are better or worse than you expected, your natural question should be "Why"? Perhaps you over or under estimated these figures when setting your projections. NOw you have some hard numbers to use for the future. See if you can identify any patterns such as: Is there a particular room... that gets a higher occupancy than others? Is there anything in particular that you can attribute to the unexceeded increase or decrease of your occupancy projections? Do you see a pattern in the reasons guests visited you? See more
