24.01.2022 Two great women came to visit the club today. Margaret Congram from Hobart, on left, is our patron and was the catalyst in the creation of our club with her donation of our first new boat "Dreams". She was presented with a gold medal from the Australian Masters Games held recently in Tasmania. Barb Cruickshank on right was one of our first sweeps and a dynamic force in getting the club up and running. Barb is a life member and is fondly remembered for her navigation through a myriad of kayaks in the Bridge to Bridge race. Well done to both of you. 9 years later a fabulous, enthusiastic club which has won gold in Adelaide and Tassie masters, has state team past and current members and competes in Perth. Go Cruisers.

24.01.2022 Come down to Haz Beanz for a coffee Sunday morning from 8.30am and support our crew as we do a virtual row from Albany to Denmark on the rowing machines. Please donate and support our local SES and Albany Cruisers as we raise some much needed funds. Look forward to seeing every one down there getting behind our crew.

24.01.2022 Beautiful Lake Barrington Tasmania in the early morning. Australian Masters 2017.

20.01.2022 It was an honour to paddle last night in Light the Night and support our crew and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It was quite moving watching from the water all the blue, white and yellow lanters walking along the beach.

15.01.2022 Come along on Sunday and find a bargin while you support the club.

11.01.2022 What a great result today at the Perth Chung Wah races. In the women’s 10 we brought home a silver medal. A great way to finish our season. Thanks to our men for their help with training and your support we couldn’t do it without you. Bring on the masters in Adelaide. Go Cruisers.

11.01.2022 Come down to Bunnings on Saturday and support our club and buy a sausage and a drink. See you all down there on Saturday.

09.01.2022 Congratulations to the Albany Cruisers. First over the line at Ord River Marathon. Huge effort to paddle 48kms.

09.01.2022 Congratulations to two fabulous women Trish Williams and Jen Whittle for their Mike Stidwell medal nominations. Trish was nominated for her work for Albany Dragon Boat Club. Jen is also a great member of our club but was nominated for all the work she does with Railways Football Club. Sporting clubs thrive on the energy and passion that their coaches and administrators put in. Trish has taken us from a fledgling club to one that wins gold at the Masters and tackles the Ord River Marathon. Well done both of you.

08.01.2022 1st day of racing and really proud of the effort our crew put in today we are all in medal contention. They certainly know who we are with our war cry - thanks Deb. Good luck tomorrow and hopefully we can bring home some medals. Go Cruisers

07.01.2022 What a beautiful morning doing our rollover training and our 50m swim. Everyone is ready to take a plunge.

05.01.2022 Awesome 2019 State Final team

04.01.2022 CANOEING THE CANADIAN WILDERNESS Albany Dragon Boat Club member Kate O'Brien and her husband John Rich recently returned from a 1500km, 64 day canoe trek th...rough the northern Canadian wilderness where they encountered arctic foxes, musk ox, massive rapids and ice blockades. The travelled from Yellowknife through to Baker Lake which is situated in a region so remote, it is only accessible by boat or plane. This wasn’t the first epic canoe adventure for the couple but it did represent a milestone as they both turn 70 years old this year.
