22.01.2022 The Worm Shed came to visit the Y Maylands ELC and the Kindy room had a wriggling good time! The children learnt all about worms and created their own worm farms out of recycled bottles, paper, dirt, grass and of course, worms!

17.01.2022 It's one of our favourite time's of the year, Book Week We're celebrating this year's theme "Curious Creatures, Wild Minds" with lots of fun activities and get lost in imaginative storybooks #CBCA2020



17.01.2022 Throughout Book Week, the Y East Cannington ELC invited the parents to come along and read their child’s favourite book to the children and of course, costumes were encouraged! In the Kindy room they set up an area from the book Goldilocks and the three bears. The children were able to act out the story whilst also being guided by the storyline by looking at the pictures of the book. Outside, the Kindy children acted out of their favourite books called Wombat Stew. The children helped to make a camp fire and used honkey nuts, leaves, mulch and dirt to make their own wombat stew!

13.01.2022 We are taking a small break over Christmas to recharge and come back in the new year reinvigorated and inspired! Our last day of operation is Thursday 24 December and we will reopen our doors on Monday 4 January

09.01.2022 It's Mental Health Week and the children at the Y Albany ELC have been having conversations about what it means to feel sad, lonely or just blue. As part of those conversations, they decided to paint their own version of the Blue Tree to remind everyone that it's okay to feel sad and open about your feelings



08.01.2022 The Kindy children at the Y East Cannington ELC celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights Families caome along for the morning to help make some salt dough dyas. Once they were dried and decorated the children placed LED tea lights inside them. Some children even came dressed in their traditional festival clothing!

07.01.2022 the Y Bunbury ELC celebrated World Animal Day with photos of their pets, or if they didn't have any, their family member's pets or even their favourite animal at the zoo!

04.01.2022 It's NAIDOC Week - a week to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of online and social distanced activities, and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. 04.01.2022 The toddler room at the Y Maylands ELC have been busy practising "I Can Sing A Rainbow" in sign language The song was shared by one of our families and has provided endless opportunities for our educators to foster early language development. Small children typically use their hands to communicate long before they can speak and this learning experience enables us to foster multiple learning styles, such as verbal, visual, and physical, while discovering early literacy concepts.

01.01.2022 Over the school holidays, the Kindy children at The Y Westminster ELC were invited to visit the Westminster Parent and Child Centre. They enjoyed exploring this fantastic facility, doing lots of different activities and Story Time
