25.01.2022 Fact of The Day... There are 10 times as many stars in the known universe as there are grains of sand in the world.

25.01.2022 Our current bushfire crisis is affecting a lot of us whether we have been directly impacted ourselves, indirectly through people we know or even as observers through media channels. Our reactions to these events can vary and it can obviously become quite overwhelming even for those only watching events from afar.... One positive theme that has shone through during this difficult time is community; the way communities have helped each other in practical ways, sharing resources and providing support has been heartening to see. Times of adversity can serve to strengthen community bonds and its because of this and what we are witnessing around our country that Albert & Meyer would like to offer free grief support to anyone who feels they need assistance during the bushfire crisis. Up until 31st March 2020 if you feel you or someone you know would benefit from some time with a grief support worker, please call us on 9484 3992 to arrange a time. We have included a link to an ABC News article on how to help support those on the ground in affected areas. If you would like a brochure from our partner the National Association of Loss and Grief (NALAG) with information on grief and loss during bushfire please contact us https://www.abc.net.au//bushfire-relief:-how-you-/11835156

17.01.2022 National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. The dates for NRW remain the same each year; 27 May to 3 June. These dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision respectively. Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians as we move forward, creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. #NRW2019

03.01.2022 Sweet or dry, red or white, fizzy or flat, lets raise a glass to one of the most loved and historical alcoholic tipples there is the sophisticated and often sassy glass of wine. For centuries and centuries, wine has been a firm favorite of cultures across the world. Whether its for helping creativity, religious ceremony, or simply livening up a gathering, theres no doubt that this fruity fixture of the alcoholic drink repertoire well deserves its own day of observance. On the 25th of May, its time to celebrate everything that makes a wine great. And everything that makes a wine great is, of course, everything about it.

03.01.2022 Look who we found in the Hills Shire Times, our very own Bullseye! Mr Celebrity has been a hit over the past few weeks and we can't wait to see more of the positive impact he has been having with his fans!

02.01.2022 Cheesecake is an institution in itself. The treats origins go back to Antiquity, but Americans have truly made it their own by adding a variety of flavors. Blueberry Cheesecake Day is here to commemorate the most common topping which combines the ancient tradition of creamy goodness with the modern love of healthy natural berries. It is only natural to combine these two delectable traditions in a signature treat. Blueberry Cheesecake Day celebrates this happy encounter and inspires even more culinary exploration and enjoyment!

02.01.2022 In loving memory of Karen Lee Mitchell, aged 34 years, who tragically died in a car accident on Monday, 16th September 2019. Karen was a devoted and caring teac...her at Arndell Anglican College, Oakville. Her family, friends and school community are all devastated by the loss of such a beautiful, larger-than-life young woman. The family have asked for no flowers to be sent but instead a go-fund-me page has been set up to honour Karen's life. The money raised will go directly to Karen's family. Their hope is to fund a lasting tribute for their darling daughter.
