23.01.2022 Congratulations to Karen W and Janna M for winning our 1 - 100 raffle. Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket. We have so many exciting things happening at our club in 2021 and can’t wait to share it all with you. Our season kicks off again 8th/9th January and we are planning a 1/2 day fun/practice session before school goes back for all our Junior teams. Have a very Merry Christmas, stay safe and we look forward to seeing you in the New Year

23.01.2022 This weekends results U/11’s - we bowled first with Queens scoring 5/171. We never gave up but fell a few runs short scoring 15/93. The boys tried hard in the heat. U/13’s - we bowled first against the dolphins and had them 6/92. We then went into bat and scored 8/162. ... U15/16’s - a day of mixed emotions for the open boys. A positive effort with the bat unfortunately only resulted in a total of 100. A spirited fight back with the ball and in the field means the boys are in with a chance next week. Hugh credit to Josh who came in and whacked the bowlers to all parts.

21.01.2022 Was great to get our games in today before the rain hit. U/15-16’s day 1 of 2 and we fielded against Burleigh. The boys are chasing 203 next week for the win. U/13’s day 1 of 2 Mudgeeraba 7/149 and Canes 5/135 we trail by 14 runs. ... U/11’s had a close game against Tamborine losing 113 to 101. Playing awards to our first year players Jacob and Jared. The boys are all improving every game. Master Blasters also started today and it was great to see so many kids enjoying cricket!! #shearersarmstavern #bendigobankormeau #windaroogolfclub

20.01.2022 U13’s won on the double against Broadbeach for the first time ever! Man of the match was Joshua scoring 84 not out and taking 7/12 in bowling! Go the canes!

16.01.2022 Yesterday’s results : U/10’s - first game for the season on Friday night and we scored 67 against Helensvale Gold who scored 150. Our team is still learning the ropes but will improve for the hit out. Good scores Jacob, Harvey and Bailey and Millie was on fire with the ball. Well done team! U/11’s - we batted first scoring 9/138 times with all batsmen making it to double figures. Helensvale were to good scoring 5/140 in reply. The boys are becoming a close knit team. ... U/13’s - we played Palm Beach and dismissed them for 43. We then scored 5/205 with Josh smashing a classy 50 not out. Well done team! U15/16’s - huge step forward by our team on Saturday. Fantastic knocks by James scoring over 50, and great batting by Luke also. Fantastic application shown by all boys with the bat getting us to 200! A big effort with the ball and fielding next week should see us get our first win of the season. Fingers crossed! Well done to all our teams over the weekend. Great friendships are being made and we are loving the team vibes and the way all our cricketers are representing our club. So great for the 15-16’s playing at Trevor Hammel fields at Alberton on turf. Field looked amazing and such a beautiful new club house. Going to be a great season.

09.01.2022 Well done to our 11’s yesterday. We scored 2 for 144 off our 20. Helensvale scored 7 for 60. Big shout out to Archer who got 29, Josh B 27 not out. Everyone bowled well for wickets.

07.01.2022 This weekends results : U/11’s played Mudgeeraba We batted first scoring 4/113 led by Archer 20 N.o and Jacob 17. Our bowling was the best of the season so far restricting Helensvale to 9/55 with Archer and Jacob taking 3 wickets each. ... U15/16’s played Burleigh Burleigh bowling tore through our top order in the first 5 overs. A brave fight back by Travis but still was not enough to avoid the follow on. Batting in the 2nd innings the canes showed a lot more application with the bat. Despite a disappointing result this is a talented bunch and as soon as they get their 1%’s right they will be a force in this division. #bendigobankormeau #windaroogolfclub #shearersarmstavern

04.01.2022 This weekends results U/10’s played Southport Black. Our team batted first scoring 98 with 2 sixes! Bailey top scored and everyone played well and our field improved from last week. Unfortunately went down to Southport scoring 110. Really pleased with everyone’s efforts and improvements this round. U/11’s batted first scoring 10/73. Billy and Josh B were the leading run scorers. Southport were too good with 5/86 in reply. ... U/13’s smashed Palm Beach on the double. They batted first and were rolled for 42. Cooper T taking 4/4 off 3 overs. AOCC went in to bat hitting 5/207 with Josh M hitting 52 NO and Cooper 42. We declared and rolled Palm Beach for 88. Superb outright win. U15/16’s fielded against Surfers Paradise. A good bowling and fielding effort reduced Surfers Paradise to 8/184. Joey took 3/30 and 4 other bowlers taking a wicket each.
