15.01.2022 This is the latest advice from our professional body, the Australian Physiotherapy Association. We will remain open, as physiotherapy is a vital health service for so many - particularly, those patients undergoing active rehabilitation after surgery, or with recent acute musculoskeletal injuries. #physiowarragul #albertstreetsports #physiotherapywarragul

15.01.2022 A great article for all our dancers out there wanting to avoid ankle injuries!

10.01.2022 Welcome Shane! We are thrilled to have Shane Bishop join our Physiotherapy team at Albert Street Sports & Spinal. Shane joined us earlier this year from Queensland, where he gained a degree in Exercise Science & Masters of Physiotherapy. Shane has been involved in competitive distance running & triathlons since 2011 and has competed at a national level on several occasions in the 3000m steeplechase (not for the fainthearted!), 5000m & 10,000m running events. So, for all those runners out there in need of advice on running injuries & biomechanics, Shane brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. #runninginjuries #sportsinjuries #physiowarragul #albertstreetsportsphysio

03.01.2022 Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update for Patients: Covid-19 has presented everyone with unprecedented challenges and we have all been asked to undertake measures that we have never been asked to before. You may be wondering how this will effect your physiotherapy treatment. Physiotherapy treatment at Albert Street Sports & Spinal Injury Centre remains OPEN for face to face treatments, as the government has classified us an essential service for the community. There are been many th...ings we have been doing in our practice to minimise your risk of exposure through rigorous and regular cleaning, disinfecting and generally upgrading hygiene practices across all areas. That said, it may be that you should decide whether your need for physiotherapy treatment is an essential one at this time. We remain committed to seeing our post-surgery patients - those patients undergoing rehabilitation for total knee, hip or shoulder replacements, ACL recons., or indeed any other orthopaedic surgeries requiring physiotherapy management. We will also prioritise those patients with acute and sudden onset of neck or lower back pain - or any other acute onset muscle or joint injury. It may be that you would like to continue your physiotherapy management via Telehealth, or video conferencing. This is most certainly an option and these types of sessions are already well under way for many of our patients. The government and many private health insurers (PHI) have now changed their policy regarding Telehealth appointment rebates and these should be available from mid-April - click on this link to read more about PHI rebates: https://australian.physio//australian-health-funds-announc Finally, if you are coming into our clinic for an appointment, we ask that you do not attend if you have a fever (temp above 37.5) or any symptoms of a cold or flu. If you have travelled overseas in the past 14 days or been in close contact with anyone who has or anyone suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19, please do not attend our clinic at this time. We will keep you informed of any changes to our service over the coming weeks, until our world returns to some degree of normality. #physiotherapywarragul #telehealthphysiotherapywarragul #albertstreetsportsspinalinjurycentre

03.01.2022 Unfortunately, advice just received from the Department of Health states that we must cancel all face to face patient appointments for the next 5 days. At this stage we will be cancelling physiotherapy, massage and podiatry patient appointments from Monday 15th to Wednesday 17th February. If we have not phoned you directly as yet, please be patient, we will get to you and reschedule your appointment as soon as possible. At this stage, we will reopen on Thursday 18th February @ 8.30am.
