21.01.2022 HISTORICAL SCHOOL PHOTOS: School photos have certainly changed over the years. (From left to right) "The Boys" photo from 1940. Whilst the school was co-ed it had a distint division of boys side and girls side, both inside and out side the classroom; the Leaving class (Graduation class) of 1927, these were the last students to attend AHS at the old Thurgoona Street site; and, the Leaving class (Graduation class) of 1928. This was the first year to attend school on what is the current AHS site. Wonderful photos such as these allows us to reflect and imagine what school was like then and what the students went on to achieve in life.

19.01.2022 PART A VISUAL REPRESENTATIONS: The 9EAK Advanced English (with Mrs Ria Crisp) have been studying "The Taming of the Shrew" for their Shakespearean text in Term 3. Their visual representations included a speech that explained their choices of image, colour, texture etc. They learned a little about feminism and it was hotly contested whether it was in fact a comedic love story or an awful, misogynistic view of Elizabethan England the role of women. Absolutely stellar work was produced with wonderful presentations. Watch these young people on the future, they are going places with these skills! More photos to come tomorrow night.
