12.01.2022 Due to the new border crossing restrictions the shop will open at 10am on Wednesday in case of unforseen delays for the staff who live on the Victorian side crossing over to NSW to come to work. Apologies for any inconvenience

08.01.2022 SHOP CLOSURE: Due to the latest Government announcement on Sunday 29 March, as of Wednesday 1 April we have taken the very regretful decision to temporarily close the doors to the public effective immediately and to only offer mail order and eBay sales sent out weekly. This is to both comply with the revised edict of avoiding public gatherings of 2 or more which is virtually unworkable in a shop environment, and also to protect both staff and their families, as well as our cu...stomers and theirs from any risk of potential social transmission of the Covid-19 virus from shared contact. We hope these measures are short-lived and we can return to normal opening hours as soon as possible, but that decision ultimately rests with Government and Health Authorities giving us the all clear to commence safe trading again. We would like to thank all our customers for their support and understanding, and wish them and their families the very best in staying well in these difficult times. Hopefully you have already got a stockpile of hobby products to enjoy in your home isolation while we wait to re-open ;-) Kind regards, The Albury Hobby Centre Team

05.01.2022 Finally got a restock of the long out of print Tank Art 1 how-to painting and weathering German Armour bible by Mike Rinaldi. Its been beefed up by 80 odd pages and 3 new models - details and price on our site www.alburyhobbycentre.com.au under the books section. Act fast they won't last long and we're not sure if there will be another run. The full spiel is as follows: Rinaldi Publishing Book - Tankart Vol.1 (German Armour No.1) 3rd.Ed. - Fully Revised... Painting & Weathering How-to Special 288pp. by Michael Rinaldi. Newly re-issued and fully revised and expanded 3rd Edition of this classic how-to series dealing with painting and weathering of German WWII Armour. TA1 returns to press and expands by 64 pages over the original 208 to 288 pages! Incorporating the functional Lay-Flat binding that allows the pages to open and stay flat on your bench, coupled with large clear images, contemporary graphic design presented on the highest quality paper, and RSP's standard dual format text explaining both the How and Why of each step of the project, TANKART 1 leads the way in hobby publishing. Inside TA1 (3rd Ed), the original 5 models (Befehls Panther G, Tiger I Initial, Sd.Kfz 251/22 PaKwagen, Hetzer, and Panzer IV DAK) are presented in a refined graphic layout that is designed to be more efficient. The guest author, Lester Plaskitt's world-class Sd.Kfz 251/21 Drilling is expanded to match the style of the other chapters, including new orange caption boxes further explaining his impressive skills. New to the volume are two models that will provide even greater expansion of the TA1 conversations. The first is a winterized 10.5cm Sturmhaubitze 42, and the second is a very popular model finally getting its TANKART debut, the famous Panzer IV mit 88mm. This model was the first build of its kind after photos surfaced of this unique and rare field-modified Panzer IV. In addition to these 2 model chapters, the Technique chapters have been edited and updated to the latest in conversations related to using the Hair Spray Technique, Oil Paint Rendering and additional Technique Proficiency pages. All told, including the cover that now showcases the heavyweight fan favorite, Tiger I Initial, TANKART 1 German Armor (3rd Ed) expands to cover in unparalleled depth and SBS photos 8 models in total inside 288 pages!
