12.01.2022 C O U R A G E & F A I T H It takes both courage and faith when facing health issues, chronic or otherwise. Here are four tips that will help you live int...entionally while facing health issues: 1. Get the facts. If you have an illness, or someone you love does - Read about it; know as much as you can. This will bring clarity and the opportunity to ask the right questions. 2. Find a medical professional or a medical team. Find a physician you can trust, one that hears your concerns. This may provide a sense guidance. 3. Find support. This may look like a support group, someone online or someone you know who has gone through or is experiencing what you are going through. Someone who has been there and you can connect with. 4. Focus on life. It is easy for the illness to take over your life and relationships. As we take time to focus on life, it increases hope. In that process, you are choosing to live intentionally - Yes, there will be bad days, non-eventful days and there will also be GREAT days. If you could do ONE of the above and know that it would make a significant, life-changing difference, would you do it? #courageandfaith #courageinvulnerablity #bangalowrecoverymassage

04.01.2022 As you are aware Australia’s health authorities are monitoring an outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). We want you to know that we are committed to keeping our facilities clean, and to protecting the health and safety of our patients and staff. We have put in place a few measure to help reduce the likelihood of contamination, these include; Increased frequency of cleaning common areas in the clinic... Hand sanitiser at front desk Increased time between appointments to allow for thorough cleaning of treatment rooms If you have any concerns about coming into the clinic for an appointment we do offer home visits, please call us to discuss your options. I would like to remind everyone that if you are unwell, have returned from overseas or have been in contact with someone who is being tested or been confirmed to have COVID-19 that you do not come to your appointment, please contact us to reschedule. Kind Regards & Stay Well, Jan

03.01.2022 Quick update regarding COVID-19! The clinic will remain open following the new Stage 1 Restriction laws. As a reminder, if you are feeling unwell or show any symptoms of a cold or flu, please call to cancel your appointment. I am also available for home visits and will be taking measures to ensure the clinic and myself are following the recommended guidelines for the prevention of infection and spread of COVID-19, including wearing masks during treatment. Please don’t hesita...te to call if you have any questions or concerns. With gratitude, Jan

03.01.2022 Did you know that SA is the only state in Australia that doesn’t have a garment subsidy scheme or dedicated public service for sufferers of lymphoedema a chro...nic condition that causes swelling (often in the arms and legs) affecting over 2300 South Australians. That is appalling and needs to change! It is completely and utterly unacceptable that lymphoedema sufferers in this state are discriminated against purely because of the state they choose to live in. SA-BEST will take up the LSGSA’s fight and write to the SA Health Minister seeking his support in providing funding for these two important services. We have a lot of work to do. In the meantime, I am delighted to join the Lymphoedema Support Group of SA (LSGSA) in raising awareness of Lymphoedema Awareness Month during March. For more information, email the association at [email protected] You can watch a speech I gave today on the issue below

03.01.2022 Great video Donna Barry thanks for sharing. If you are affected by scar tissue and pain please view this video as it could explain why. Then seek out a therapist how understands these principles to help relieve your pain.
