07.01.2022 SO YOU WANT TO BE A BREEDER!! .......So over the past couple of years but esp this year we have had several or should i say a constant influx of people wa...nting puppies on mains" Now 90% of these people, its there FIRST Bulldog they have owned or going to own, but they want MAINS REG? When asked why mains.? they say the usual thing " Oh i want to become a breeder",, SO you want to breed a extremely difficult animal to breed that takes a massive amount of human intervention, Time, knowledge and money,, but you have never owned one first?.. So on that pretence,, if i want to become a pilot lets say,, i just go buy a plane and off i go!,, yay!, who knew? At the very least, i mean very least! You should know the basic needs of this breed and its problems that come with it first, dont you think? Do you know what BOAS "is.? Stanotic nares,Ellongated pallet,Entropian, seasonal allopcia,,cherry eye,,interdigital cysts,,just to name a few, the list goes on. Then theres the breeding side,, can you read a pedigree? Can u research the lines on that pedigree with your one mutual bulldog friend and no other connections? Cause hey,, i saw how much they sell for and im going to make bank,, Which brings us to the MONEY side of things and trust me! BULLDOG BREEDING can and will burn a hole in your pocket quicker than anything!!,, Do you have a lazy 10k laying about to stsrt your journry down that LONG rd of health testing,,DNA testing, stud fees,, TCI or AI insemminations,, progesterone tests, ultra sounds, pre natal care,,c sections and the losses of pups and sometimes mum!!! again the list goes on ... So you make it home with your VERY expensive basket of baby bulldogs and you have to keep them alive! So begins another LONG road of NO sleep for the next 2 weeks minimum, sleeping next to a welping box and putting pups in and out of there incubator to feed off mum who probably has no milk" yet and trying to keep there body temp dropping and them " fading out" and pups dying in the first 3 days.You sit there with your eyes like slits from days of no sleep, hand feeding ( supplement feeding) your babies so they dont die , trying not to " aspirate them" and crying over the ones that may not have made it through!! Then you barely make it through those first few harrowing weeks, all the while dealing with people wanting to buy your precious little bundles" that you have spent hours and hours and thousands of dollors and cried buckets of tears over to get to the 3 week mark and you want only the BEST of homes for them!! !! Cause these are YOUR babies you fought SO HARD to create and no scumbag is having one!! So between your feeding, your no sleep and tears you have to stalk profiles on these people wanting your precious babies, you have to answer messages and take photos and videos and all you want to do is finally enjoy your hard work, but NO time ticks on and you have to start to find amazing families for these babies because they didnt ask to be born, YOU chose to be a breeder" and bring them into this world! So now you have to find them the BEST homes you can right!! So you think youve finally found everyone a great home and are really happy with your decisions ,, you have turned your nose up" at that buyer that wanted MAINS reg to breed later your precious baby because now you actually KNOW how hard it really is and " hell no" is a newbie breeding my girl!! You soldier on with your few well picked" families for your bubs ,, providing constant pics and videos and info , all the while juggling your family committments and day to day life behind the scenes of your FB page.You spend days and days socialising your pups, cleaning up copious amounts of poo!! Load after load after load of washing!! You miss out on special occasions and catch ups with friends because you have a litter and your just too EXHAUSTED to go. You burn oils through your house to mask that now familier odour of puppy poo, you try to keep up with life around you outside your puppy families that " want some more pics" and finally the day comes you have to say " goodbye" you kiss your babies goodbye and PRAY they will be ok, , you ask your families to PLEASE keep you posted and provide YOU with pics,, please dont forget i did it for you please dont forget i loved this baby first,, some do some dont! And so it ends !! Just like that there gone!! And if your game or stupid,,, you do it again Copied from Evolution Bulldogs
