Our children love learning and connecting through colours. We then chose our mediums and the children wanted to use their hand print as the tool and their symbol on the artwork. So beautiful. What’s more amazing is the connections and new ways of interacting our toddlers explore when hopping through the bush like a yonga. 14.01.2022 Play dough can sometimes be a tricky one to play it but when paired with on going projects and visual aids it’s magical ! Through our progettazione ‘think global act local’ our kindy children have been looking at healthy eating and fitness. Let’s be honest green leafy vegetables are not the easiest vegetable to appeal to children so our creative educators and pedagogistas racked their brains and worked our quirky ways and questioning to explore these leafy vegetables such as ...where are their veins ?, why does it crinkle? What different shapes can we see in a cucumber? How are we similar to a vegetable? Etc. These eccentric questions will hopefully help children relate themselves to these amazing green, find an element that appeals to them and start loving the great benefits eating leafy greens ! By pairing this with pans and wooden boards our intuitive babies loved dropping, rolling and transporting their loose parts, creating some interesting sounds, interactions and processes.
