17.01.2022 We have been made aware of a post circulating on Facebook stating that hand sanitisers contain Ethylene Glycol (which is found in antifreeze and is potentially ...toxic when even a small amount is ingested).This post recommends that you should avoid letting your pets lick your hands if you've used hand sanitiser because it is toxic. This is NOT TRUE. Hand sanitisers have a high alcohol (ethanol, isopropyl alcohol or n-propanol) content and can be harmful if ingested in a large quantity (i.e. the contents of a bottle) but if it is licked from your skin, it will NOT harm your pet.
