17.01.2022 Ballarat, Victoria

16.01.2022 A few weeks ago I decided to intentionally spend more time being creative and doing the things that nourish and inspire me during COVID lockdown. Not long after that I swung by @the.lost.ones.gallery to visit the Makers’ Studio, where I met @heapsgoodleatherwork and @rachelgrosejewellery. They also had an empty space available, and a went off above my head. A week and a half later, here I am! I’m going to spend at least the next month or two working through my wishlist of things I’ve been wanting to make, as well as some COVID masks since they’re in such demand right now. Anyway the studio is open 11-4 Wednesday to Sunday and you’re welcome to swing by and see what I’m working on any time! #ballaratartist #ballaratmade #makersstudio #textilestudio @ The Lost Ones

09.01.2022 Back into the studio (YAY) on this gorgeous sunny early spring day. Outfit of the day has no wool except the scarf! (Lovely BFL from @missclickclack) #ootd #queerstyle #genderqueerstyle #nonbinarystyle #ballaratstyle #fatstyle #handknits #homemade #memade

05.01.2022 I’m so glad to have this glorious space at @the.lost.ones.gallery to work with my hands and create beautiful things. I don’t think I’d be exaggerating to say it’s the number 1 thing contributing to my sanity right now. Not only does it get me out of the house to walk a couple of km in the fresh air each way, but just seeing a different set of walls means so much when we’ve all been home so long. It’s a huge space with lots of distance between the three artisans working here and I can spread out in ways I can’t at home. And it’s helping me work through what sort of life I want to live once (if) all this is over. #Mentalhealth #ballaratmakers #slowliving #textilestudio

04.01.2022 Today I’m working on my Scrooge nightgown in heavy natural linen. These underarm gussets provide freedom of movement and prevent wear where two rectangular pieces join. #nopattern #makersofinstagram #makersstudio #sewing #linen
