23.01.2022 Wow this is just so cool!! In Denmark people started an initiative called "The Human Libray". Inside certain libraries you can choose to 'borrow' a person - ins...tead of a book - to listen to the history of their life for about 30 minutes. The point? Limiting prejudice. Everyone has a 'title' such as 'Unemployed', 'Refugee', 'Bipolar', or what have you - but wonce we listen to their story, we will always be given reasons to realize even deeper - why we should never "judge a book by its cover" ;) <3 An innovative and brilliant project that by now is active in fifty countries! An initiative of The Human Library <3 (https://humanlibrary.org/)

15.01.2022 The FNAWN Board of Directors are very pleased to announce that in partnership with Australian Poetry we will be publishing the following journal COVID-19 First... Nations Anthology. We are also very pleased to announce that your acclaimed co-editors will be multi-award winning poet Charmaine Papertalk Green (WA), and Australia’s favourite son of poetry, award-winning poet and raconteur Samuel Wagan Watson (QLD). Please note this is a First Nations’ Australian, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander only contributors journal. Submission and Guidelines for this once in a lifetime pandemic collection will open on the AP Australian Poetry website 8th October. Each day leading up to the official call-out FNAWN will update more on the theme, the volume, the dates, the deadlines, the hardcopy, the humour, the seriousness, the lockdown, the storytelling. We anticipate that this Journal will be bursting at the seams with emerging and established poets.
