Thank you @artloversaustralia for organising a fabulous day of art, friends and high tea at the New Woman Exhibition @museumofbrisbane What a gorgeous bunch of talented, warm and humble women. I was a little star struck and felt so inspired. Thanks @llewellyn_skye_art for being you ..and on the subject of inspiring heres a little excerpt from Dear Woman by Sarah Blondin @sarahfinds (one of my fave pe...ople). Dear women of the world if there was one thing I could urge you to pursue, it would be to reconnect with your most untamed version of you. The one who looks not in the mirror to find her power but travels into the uncharted waters that thrash around her, and brings peace and tenderness on her back. I want to remind you of the vastness of your being before you got lost in the small box of what we've been taught is woman. Before we were told to stop crying so often, before we were taught to toughen our skins, before we were taught to be hard. Before we were distracted into thinking the roundness of our eyes, and the plumpness of our lips somehow held value and importance. Before we forgot that we are the portals of life for great reason, that we have throughout history been the soft earth in which all life grows. Dear women of the world, these qualities and inclinations humming in your background require your attention and nurturing. They are what the world is most in need, they are to be cultivated with great care. To the girl who listened to the people around her criticizing her sensitivities, calling her too soft. Travel back to that little girl and offer her your hand now from your grounded root, from your place of mother, or woman or lover. 05.01.2022 Nothing like a new painting to improve the energy of a room. Excited to hang my latest purchase by @zhenyu_art. Yu youre a little weird honestly but I love it! So damn talented and quirky. I found this one on the Bluethumb website and had my new painting framed in oak by Studiosix49 My artworks become a treasured part of my home and I know theyll stay with me forever, they dont wear out like furniture and furnishings, they dont date (when you really love them), theyre a constant in my life and I find their familiar energy a comfort when life throws me curve balls. Nothing like a hot cup of tea and a date with my art to bring me back to centre.
