08.01.2022 Did you know that taking just 5 minutes focusing on deep belly breaths can completely change your state of mind? Belly breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system taking you from a state of fight or flight to a state of rest and digest. Next time you are feeling overwhelmed, close down your eyes, place your hands on your lower belly (lying or seated). As you inhale allow the belly to rise and as you exhale allow the belly to completely relax. Continue with these b...reaths and begin to create an even flow with the inhale and exhale. Start by counting to 3 or 4 on the inhale and exhale and increase as you feel comfortable to. This also acts as a perfect midday reset practice
