25.01.2022 As promised, here is my latest video post on "Could your pain and cramping be coming from your bowel, bladder, or pelvic floor" This is something that I see often, and it also gets overlooked. This is why it is important to see the right healthcare practitioners, when it comes to women's health issues, and make sure you see an expert. If you do need help with a women's health condition, please call my friendly staff and find out how I can assist you. ... Don't forget to like my youtube page and video as well :-) #drandreworr #theexpertsprogram #womenshealth #endometriosisawareness #adenomyosisawareness #pelvicfloorhypertonus #constipationproblems #interstitialcystitis https://youtu.be/SrrA1c02Cag

25.01.2022 When you start doing the inner work, or you start on the pathway to better health, it requires someone to actually get in and do it. But, it does not mean that you have to do everything perfectly. Nobody starts out being perfect at doing and exercise, or achieving a new goal, or working on themselves and their blockages holding them back in life. It is about doing things step by step, little by little, and slowly you make great gains and become better at doing something. Th...e main thing is to stop making excuses why you cannot do something and just get in there and start. It doesnt matter how long you do an exercise (meaning (physical exercise, or an task you need to complete from a coach/professional), the main thing is that you just start. For those making excuses of why something cannot be done, just remember there are people who have started, have done what someone said cannot be done, and are enjoying a better life because of it. Everything is possible with daily practice and just getting in a doing it. This is why people need someone to coach them, and motivate them and hold them accountable. Nobody can just do it all on their own, so seek help to get started and create a better life for yourself. It is all about creating a daily habit and learning to progress little by little, step by step everyday. Just start. That is all you have to do, because in 12 months time you will look back and see how far you have come. Just remember that it will be hard sometimes but it is going to be worth it. It doesnt always need to be perfect. Let go of your control of everything needing to be perfect and needing to be done at 100%. It is about balance and daily persistence and not creating stress around what you are doing. Just remember that it is called "Daily Practice" ..... not "Daily Perfect". #drandreworr #dailypracticenotdailyperfect #justgetstarted #stepbystep

24.01.2022 I know many people think they have time, but the reality is... none of us know when our time is up. Truly I say to you... tomorrow is not promised and you need to live today, like it is your last night on this earth. As macabre as that may sound... you may not actually wake tomorrow. Embrace today as if it was your last day on earth. So many people are worried about what others think, or how they can save someone else, but often forget about what they want in life. We cannot ...save everyone, and not everyone wants to be helped, or saved either. The sooner people realise this the better. Many people are actually happy in their bubble of trauma and will self sabotage to be there. It is their place of safety. It doesnt mean you should not try and help people, but you also need to learn that not everyone wants to be helped, or will not do what it needed to better their own life. It is all about healthy boundaries and knowing when it is time to step away, and just look after you. So.... it all gets back to this......... Forget about what others think, or what others may do. Every single one of us is in charge of our own life, and our own destiny. Each and every one of us is in charge of our life and each moment we have here. What you do in any given moment, is your choice and your responsibility only, not someone elses. So love deeply. Love unconditionally. Explore all the beautiful things and do not ever say "no" to something you want to do and that may set your soul on fire. Give love, make love, fall in love, sing, dance, laugh, cry, hug, share delicious kisses, eat beautiful foods, drink exquisite wines, play, listen to music, tell someone you love them, say yes more to all the things you normally say no to, travel, live where you want to live, be with someone you have been dreaming about, take risks, surrender to your heart, and just do everything you have ever wanted to do and have always dreamed of doing. Do everything like it was you last day left on this earth. Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever <3 What would you do if tomorrow truly was your last day on earth? #drandreworr #tomorrowisnotpromised #Livenow

23.01.2022 Tomorrow night I will be putting up a video post explaining the difference between proper research, and a google search. From recent posts about this subject, I always know it will trigger some, but I am asking that you watch and listen, because it is said with good intent. While I get that some have been missed and dismissed, which makes me just as angry by the way, I also see the other side of it that you cannot see, and see the perils of self diagnosis. It does go both w...ays, and we need to talk about it, and be real about it. You don't see what I see, but I certainly see what you see and have been through. That is why we need to talk about this very important topic. While I am the first to promote people being educated on their health condition, and spend a lot of time being very thorough in their diagnosis, and health education in a clinic setting, I also need people to know that there is a huge difference between proper research (which includes statistical analysis) compared to a google search. I am going to discuss this at length, along with my daughter who is a scientist, but who has a gynaecological condition, and other health issues too. I myself have had health issues missed too and recently had my 8th surgery, so yep, I get it. While some may be lucky enough to google their symptoms and get it right, there are the ones that are also causing themselves a lot of harm, and have crucial things missed, and mismanaged because of "Dr Google". Some have actually caused themselves permanent harm because of it, or worse. Before anyone gets triggered, without even seeing, or viewing the post, you need to take the personal out of it, and see where I am coming from, which is always a place of education, and wanting the best for people. Believe me, I know what many of you have been through, and it makes me so upset, but, I am not like that, and we cannot judge all healthcare practitioners like that either. There are always two sides to a story too, which will be a topic of a future post. I will say this though, any nasty, or derogatory, or projectile triggered nastiness, will be deleted. Healthy discussion, with reason, is always welcome. This is about education, and helping people and that is the intent. It is not from a perception, or wounded space that may be triggered in some people. Open discussion is needed on this subject and both sides need to be looked at with an open mind. I totally understand that some people have had bad advice, bad management, and bad healthcare practitioners, but not all are like that and we need to be mindful of that also.

23.01.2022 International Day of People with Disability Today is set aside to celebrate the achievements of people with disability and aims to promote an understanding of disability issues, and mobilise support for the dignity, rights and well-being of people with disability, by engaging disability organisations, people with disability, businesses, governments and communities in a range of activities. It's important to remember not all disabilities are visible ones!... 22.01.2022 One of the hardest things for people to admit is that they may be in fact the biggest roadblock when it comes to their health issue. I know I have been, and it actually took me a while to admit it and be accountable for it too. 22.01.2022 Many people wish for many things. It could be a new life, a life partner, more money, more time, better health, and a whole range of things that they wished they had. I also often hear people (men and women) say that they wished that could find the right man/woman out there, and they often complain that they do not exist. The thing is, not only do they exist, they are actually waiting for someone who has done the inner work, will continue on the pathway of being awakened, a...nd do the journey of happily every after together. They are awaiting the love of their life, and their equal. As I put in a recent post - "Somewhere someone is looking for you in every person that they meet". I also put up a post "Go find yourself, so you can find me" Next time you find yourself asking the questions of where is something, or someone you are wanting, ask yourself this.... What are you doing to manifest the very things you say does not exist? Have you been looking within and being the mirror of that which you are seeking? Many things in life are presented to us when we are actually truly ready and not before. But... sometime things are presented to us and we might not actually see it either. It is all about being ready, and ready to surrender to the process when it does come our way. Sometimes the very thing we are seeking is right before us, it has been presented to us and all we have to do is reach out at grasp it. Life is short. Dont let a chance, or a moment go by. Now is your moment. Now is your time and if you trust, open your heart, believe and surrender to what you are seeking, it will be yours. Dont wait for tomorrow, or some time that seems convenient. Do it now, because nothing beyond this moment is guaranteed and tomorrow is definitely not promised. Before I finish... I ask you this..... What if the very thing you are seeking was presented to you.... what would you do to obtain it? #drandreworr #trust #believe #surrender #dontwait #doitnow #theawakened

21.01.2022 All you have is this moment. Nothing beyond that is guaranteed. Life could be gone in an instant and why it is so important to do all the beautiful things now. Stop holding yourself back and listening to the programming of those who would have you live the life they want you to live, not the life you are desperate to live. Dont wait for the perfect moment, because that moment may never arrive. The time to do it all is now. This goes for your health too. Take this moment to d...o something about it now. Take the moment and make it perfect now. Do all the things you have ever wanted and by unapologetic about it and enjoy each moment of doing it too. #drandreworr #liveinthemoment #thismomentisallyouhave #liveyourlifeyourway

21.01.2022 Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, or PCOS, is a health condition that affects about 10 million people in the world. The exact cause is unknown, but it is considered a hormonal problem. Genetics and environmental factors are believed to be involved in the development of PCOS. It is a leading cause of female infertility and is responsible for a number of symptoms that can affect the body physically and emotionally.... Despite the name, many people do not have cysts on their ovaries. In 2013, an independent panel of experts recommended to the National Institutes of Health that the name be changed because the name is confusing and hinders patient care and research efforts. Hormones involved in PCOS include: Androgens. All females make androgens (also referred to as male hormones), but there are often higher levels of androgens in women with PCOS. The excess androgens are produced mostly by the ovaries, but the adrenal glands can also be involved. Excess androgens are responsible for many PCOS symptoms including acne, unwanted hair, thinning hair, and irregular periods. Insulin. This hormone allows the body to absorb glucose (blood sugar) into the cells for energy. In PCOS, the body isnt as responsive to insulin as it should be. This can lead to elevated blood glucose levels and cause the body to make more insulin. Having too much insulin can cause the body to make more androgens. Progesterone. In PCOS, a lack of progesterone contributes to irregular periods. 20.01.2022 Later tonight I will be doing a video post tonight about this very topic. Many times I see women thinking that all the pain that they are experiencing is coming from their endometriosis/adenomyosis, or other. While it is easy to understand why they would blame their gynaecological condition, many times we find that it is not actually the endometriosis, adenomyosis etc at all.... Many times it is the bowel being full, or the bladder being inflamed, or the pelvic floor muscles nerve ending firing off, and causing pain, or what we call referral pain. I've talked briefly about this before in another post about Pelvic Floor Hypertonus, but wanted to go more into this very important topic, that is the cause of many women's pain and associated symptoms.

19.01.2022 Did you know that bowel cancer is Australia's 2nd biggest killer of men? Bowel cancer affects men and women, young and old. Australia has one of the highest rates of bowel cancer in the world; 1 in 13 Australians will develop the disease in their lifetime.... 30% people who develop bowel cancer have either a hereditary contribution, family history or a combination of both. The other 70% of people have no family history of the disease and no hereditary contribution. The risk of developing bowel cancer rises sharply and progressively from age 50. It’s important to know the symptoms of bowel cancer and have them investigated if they persist for more than two weeks. Almost 99% of bowel cancer cases can be treated successfully when detected early. During the early stages of bowel cancer, people may have no symptoms, which is why screening is so important. As a cancerous tumour grows, it can narrow and block the bowel resulting in changes to the size, shape, and/or colour of poo, with our without rectal bleeding. These symptoms are often attributed to haemorrhoids or simply ignored. Any of the below symptoms could be indicative of colon or rectal cancer and should be investigated by your GP if they persist for more than two weeks. Blood in your poo A recent, persistent change in bowel habit (e.g. diarrhoea, constipation or the feeling or incomplete emptying) A change in the shape or appearance of your poo (e.g. narrower poos or mucus in poo) Abdominal pain or swelling Pain or a lump in the anus or rectum Unexplained anaemia causing tiredness, weakness or weight loss. You can reduce your risk by: Healthy diet and lifestyle choices, as well as screening. Quitting smoking, abstaining from or limiting alcohol consumption, and eating foods containing dietary fibre. Maintaining a healthy weight and engaging in regular physical activity. People who are more physically active before a bowel cancer diagnosis are less likely to die from the disease than those who are less active. 18.01.2022 Page Rules Unfortunately we are seeing more and more aggression on social media and these aggressive type of people then make it hard for those that are genuinely seeking facts and education and answers to their particular health issues. Due to recent increase in these aggressive people wanting to project their issues onto others, I have had to set some pretty firm boundaries and rules for this page. I am sorry I have had to do this, but genuine people will get it and unders...Continue reading

17.01.2022 So many people like to think that they can do everything themselves, & that they can fix themselves. These days, we like to spend hours on Dr Google trying to find the miracle cure to our health issue, so that we can miraculously cure ourselves. We want the magic pill to take away all our hurts, our anxiety, & all our symptoms. The truth is... The magic pill does not exist, & the hours we spend googling our health symptoms could actually be spent with an expert who already k...nows how to help us. Over the years I have seen so many people express so many excuses, & blame so many others for their current issues with their health. I know that I have made those same excuses, because it is better to blame someone else, rather than face the reality that I myself maybe a big part of my current issues. I see so many people stuck in the blame game, & living in the vicious toxic cycle of trying to do it yourself, yet then say nobody, or nothing is helping. We get caught up in being the disease, & wearing our disease state like a badge of honour, rather than we ourselves owning the disease. We may not like to hear it, but it is the truth. I have just had my 8th surgical procedure, & this time I was lucky enough to see an expert who could actually help me. But, it also took me being honest with myself, enacting the change, get another opinion, & then follow through with the recommendations & advice. It was bloody scary being told that my operation was going to be 3 hours & then one slip, & my brain could be pierced & that was me gone. But, I objectively analysed the risks, trusted, & moved forward, & it was the best thing I have ever done. After 4 years of no smell, constant daily migraines, constant fatigue, constant pain, & countless painkillers/medications, I am now a different person. I can smell, I can taste food, & I am not fatigued & in pain. All because I actually saw the right person, & enacted the change to live a better life. And guess what? So can you. If your symptoms are getting the better of you, then you need to be honest with yourself, get another opinion, & see an expert. If you don't change anything, then nothing changes. #drandreworr #theexpertsprogram

17.01.2022 Are you sick of nobody being able to help you? Are you tired of having your symptoms 'missed' & 'dismissed'? Do you feel like nodody is listening to you?... Do you wish that someone could help you, guide you, and then advocate for you in having your health issues diagnosed and managed properly? Many people struggle with getting the right help, or seeing the right healthcare professional for their symptoms, or particular health issue. Getting proper diagnosis, proper treatment and proper management for your health issues can sometimes feel disheartening. Many people end up getting lost in the healthcare system, and then it can take years to actually get a diagnosis, and then get proper health management. By then your health condition, and being 'missed' & 'dismissed' can have done a lot of damage to you, physically & mentally. Some conditions can considerably affect ones furture fertility, if they are left undiagnosed, and unmanaged for years too. This is why early intervention and early management of any symptoms of an underlying disease state, is crucial. This is also why people should not try and manage their own health conditions too. Without proper care and treatment, the results can be detrimental for your long term physical & mental health too. The good thing is that that don't have to keep being 'missed' & 'dismissed' & there are people who can not only help you get a proper diagnosis for your symptoms, but also help manage your symptoms properly, & help advocate for you, when having to deal with other healthcare practitioners. Sounds awesome doesn't it? Well, that is exactly what I do, & if you do need help, & are sick of being 'missed' and 'dismissed', & would also like someone to guide you, hold your hand, & advocate for you, then please give my friendly staff a call & find out more. I help people nationally, & internationally, & the way I work is also inspiration for starting "The Experts Program" of like minded healthcare experts, working together for the greater good of our patients. #drandreworr #theexpertsprogram #nomorebeingmissedanddismissed #letmeadvocateforyou #endometriosis #pcos #adenomyosis #fertility #womenshealth

16.01.2022 As we reach the end of Womens health week, here are our top 6 tips for a healthy kitchen at home. Good health starts with you and the choices you make when shopping for your produce and groceries for your kitchen. Healthy choices can be a fun experience, and by getting creative, exploring new recipes, local markets to try more seasonal fresh local produce, growing some veges and herbs yourself, only helps this lifestyle to become new normal for you and your family, and part... of your life and wellbeing. 1. Plan your meals ahead for each week. Not only will you save money and improve your health, you will do the best possible favour to the environment, eliminating food waste! (One of our top 5 global environmental issues) 2. Include protein rich foods in each meal or snack. 3. Include a minimum of 3 cups of vegetables each day. (Think of a rainbow!) 4. Include a handful of seeds and nuts daily (or up to 2 tablespoons of good oils) 5. Restrict your consumption of all grains. (Especially refined carbohydrates) 6. Reduce or eliminate sugar and alcohol. (A biggie. This leads to all sorts of health diseases, inflames the body, and effects our mental health in the long run! Alcohol is also a depressant) Obviously, our dietary choices are vital, but so is movement and exercise. Dont forget that each day, in however a small way, human bodies need a minimum 20 minutes of exercise to get the heart pumping, breath expanding in the lungs, and hopefully some fresh air in beautiful mother nature. 15.01.2022 Nobody can do everything on their own, especially when it comes to healthcare, so tomorrow night, I will be discussing an important topic about people, or practitioner who can not only help you, but also advocate for you if you need to see other healthcare practitioners, or other specialists as well.

15.01.2022 Symptoms of PCOS may begin shortly after puberty, but can also develop during the later teen years and early adulthood. Because symptoms may be attributed to other causes or go unnoticed, PCOS may go undiagnosed for some time. People with PCOS typically have irregular or missed periods as a result of not ovulating. Although some people may develop cysts on their ovaries, many people do not. Other symptoms include:... Weight gain. About half of people with PCOS will have weight gain and obesity that is difficult to manage. Fatigue. Many people with PCOS report increased fatigue and low energy. Related issues such as poor sleep may contribute to the feeling of fatigue. Unwanted hair growth (also known as hirsutism). Areas affected by excess hair growth may include the face, arms, back, chest, thumbs, toes, and abdomen. Hirsutism related to PCOS is due to hormonal changes in androgens. Thinning hair on the head. Hair loss related to PCOS may increase in middle age. Infertility. PCOS is a leading cause of female infertility. However, not every woman with PCOS is the same. Although some people may need the assistance of fertility treatments, others are able to conceive naturally. Acne. Hormonal changes related to androgens can lead to acne problems. Other skin changes such as the development of skin tags and darkened patches of skin are also related to PCOS. Mood changes. Having PCOS can increase the likelihood of mood swings, depression, and anxiety. Pelvic pain. Pelvic pain may occur with periods, along with heavy bleeding. It may also occur when a woman isnt bleeding. Headaches. Hormonal changes prompt headaches. Sleep problems. People with PCOS often report problems such as insomnia or poor sleep. There are many factors that can affect sleep, but PCOS has been linked to a sleep disorder called sleep apnea. With sleep apnea, a person will stop breathing for short periods of time during sleep. The more we focus on a disease state, the harder it is to manage, and the worse all our symptoms becomes. Then the vicious cycle and merry go round begins and never seems to end. The more we feed something, the bigger it grows.... But.... Despite what you may think, or believe, while in this state, there is help out there. Always. Tonight I will be discussing why it is crucial not to buy into becoming the label you have been given with your health condition. Stay tuned for an insight that could just change your life for the better. #drandreworr #youarenotyourdisease #dontbuyintothelabel #thereishelpoutthere

13.01.2022 If we dont change, then nothing changes. If you dam up a river, the water stops flowing, the water turns stagnant and environment that was once flourish is now unliveable. Humans can also suffer stagnation, which then results in disease states being expressed, disease states worsened, pain, increased pain, fatigue, mental health issues, and a whole range of illnesses. This is why it is so important to get the body, and the mind moving again. It is literally like breaking dow...n the dam wall and letting the river flow again. It wont happen overnight, but like a river that is allowed to flow again, the body starts to flourish and return to its normal states of existence again. When we experience hard times, the trick is not to focus on the negative, which can be hard. It is time for introspection and looking at the lesson we are being asked to look at. When something goes wrong inside, the subconscious mind knows and then the body responds in kind. It send us a signal, or our warning light goes off, just like it would in your car. When the body is in crisis, it is a sign that we need to take care of ourselves and look at the body as a whole, not just the small part that may be making the most noise. This means looking at all of the physical body, and the emotional aspect of it too. Yes, our brain, our thoughts and our emotional states can cause more pain, and more ill health than anything on this earth, and is quite often the instigator of many things that happen within. Change our thoughts and we change our world. This is why it is so important not to buy into a label of what you believe you are, or a sickness that you believe defines you. The more you focus on something, and buy into the belief that something confines you, the worse it becomes. Sometimes when in crisis, our body is trying to send us a message to go deeper. To look further than the physical and look deep within at the root cause of a situation, or illness. So next time you find yourself in crisis, or working through some shift within you, or some health issue, ask yourself this........ What if everything you are going through is preparing you for what you have asked for? #drandreworr

13.01.2022 Left overs from Left overs The other night I shared my cooking story that saw me making lots of food for my family. Hey, when your daughter isnt well, and wants comfort food, you make comfort food. The same should go for a partner too :-) Anyway, at work I often get told how hard it is to prepare good food and I often have to laugh and politely, but firmly, but nicely say.... "That is just and excuse....lol "... The truth is... if you have time to watch netflix, or spend time on social media, you have time to prepare and make good foods. It doesnt have to be 5 star quality and you know what????? Sometimes the best food can be made from leftovers and made from very simply cooked foods. You can add lots of veggies and anything you like to make it a nourishing meal for the family and also lunch tomorrow too. As you can see here, I have used my left over pork belly, cut up lots of veggies, some sprouts, some onion and some capsicum, celery and mushrooms. I also got some freshly made flat rice noodles, or you could use the seaweed noodles as well. Just lightly blanch the veggies for 30 seconds in boiling water first.... and drain. Get your wok hot and add in some coconut, or peanut oil. Then add in the onions, and garlic and brown off a bit. Then add in the celery, capsicum and mushrooms. Next add in the pork belly and then closely followed by the veggies. Add in your sauces. You could add a combination of some oyster sauce, hoisin, and chilli paste/groundbean sauce, just to give it a little kick. If you dont like it too spicy, just add some sweet chilli sauce to the oyster and hoisin sauce. Just add what you think until you get the taste you like. Just play with the flavours. Give it all a good stir and the add in the freshly cooked flat rice noodles, or seaweed noodles. Add in the sprouts last and Stir it all well and serve it up. Bon appetite. If you are veggo, then leave out the meat etc. Dinner and lunches done for tomorrow ... all at the same time... from left overs. #drandreworr #doctorchef #goodfoodmadeeasy #dinnerandlunchready

12.01.2022 This could apply to so many things. It could apply to being being a better person and doing the inner work, being ready for a relationship, or just being ready for the next step in life. Doing the work, actually means... doing the work. This is where many get it wrong, or often opt for the easy way out, and say they are doing the work, when in fact they arent. Anyone can sit on a floor and say they are meditating, or being mindful. Anyone can listen to a TED talk, or ready ...Continue reading

11.01.2022 One of the things I always talk about with my patients who have a chronic disease state, or womens health issue, or any health issue, is that it is crucial not to buy into becoming your health label. The more we focus on a disease state, the harder it is to manage, and the worse all our symptoms become. Then the vicious cycle, and merry go round begins and never seems to end. The more we feed something, the bigger it grows. There are now lots of research to back this up and ...why when treating disease states, pain, and other associated symptoms there needs a multimodality approach. You cannot separate the physical and mental aspects of a disease, and the impact that the mind can also have on a disease and its symptoms. Last week I said that I would be doing a post about this and here it is. https://drandreworr.com.au/why-it-is-crucial-not-to-buy-in/

11.01.2022 Before we go looking to do life with another, we must first find ourself. The problem is that so many do not really know who they are, or the potential of who they could step up and be. Fear, lack of trust, trauma and wanting to be in control are many of the things that hold one back from finding themselves. To find oneself, that takes a lot of work (meaning actually doing the work with a trained professional and being held accountable to making changes) and introspection. I...t also requires being in heart space, being vulnerable, trusting in the process and surrendering. It also takes daily practice and doing things step by step to work on blockages, triggers and traumas holding us back. Nobody is going to have it all worked on from a weekend course, reading a book, listening to a podcast, or attending a retreat somewhere. It takes practice and also realising that we are not perfect and to also find some balance in doing the work. It is called "Daily practice", not "Daily perfect". There needs to be joy and embracing the process and not making it a chore either. But, we need to be accountable that it will require some hard work through some of the journey. Finding oneself also means being the mirror. It is being the person you would want in another, but also what another would ultimately want from someone who is traveling life with them. It is about stepping into your own power, being self aware, being present, opening your heart, creating that safe space for another, and being the best version of yourself. Being the mirror is about who you would want to see looking back at you. A man should be stepping into his masculine power, and a woman should be stepping into her feminine power, but also working on all the same emotional aspects that need to be worked on to move forward in being the best version of you. Before we can truly find another, we must find ourself first. Then and only then, can we truly find that which we are seeking in someone else. Go find yourself, so you can find me. #drandreworr #findyourself #bethemirror #findyourselftofindme

10.01.2022 Ah the joys of also being a qualified chef who was trained in and qualified in Chinese and Asian cooking, along with Classical French, Italian, Thai and a host of other cuisines. Anyway, I am just preparing for the week ahead and cooking my eldest daughter some roasted pork belly, and asian greens and winter melon for lunch at work tomorrow. Next thing.... the youngest who wasnt feeling well, said she wants some Nonnas special recipe meatballs.... and some homemade minestro...ni soup. Then also wants some Jiao Zi (Chinese Dumplings). So whats a dad supposed to do? Well, he cooks the lot :-) I feel like the father off the movie "Eat Drink Man Woman" preparing a feast of food for his kids and extended family. If you havent seen it, get it out. Great foreign film. So next thing I have meatballs cooking, minestroni cooking, pork belly cooked, rice in the cooker, veggies and winter melon ready to be stir fried..... and Jiao Zi (dumplings) prepared and ready to be steamed. Oh and I made some BBQ roasted capsicum with balsamic marinade. Can I please have that too dad ??????? When your daughter is sick and wants foods, you cook said food....lol ... .and make her feel like a princess. Actually, thats what you should do for all women really :-) <3 The kids godfather and I always joke about pitying the poor guys that has to marry my daughters. He will need to be able to cook and be a doctor as well.... and massage... and make cups of tea.... make homemade frangelico and choc honeycomb icecream...... do some acupuncture.....be a counsellor.... pour a proper bath with salts and candles and oils .... be a red wine connoisseur (Italian & french wines only) .... and ... and ... and..... Good luck you poor men....lol ... Ive set the bar really high. And why am I single again???? Was too funny not to share. 09.01.2022 The inspiration for today is "Soul Tribe" Always good to check that the people you choose to surround yourself with fit this category. If they dont then it might be time to reevaluate your inner circle. That can go for toxic family as well. There is nothing wrong with setting healthy boundaries and never feel guilty about protecting yourself and self care. If they dont inspire you, and pick you up, support you, love you for who you are, and always want the best for you, the...n they probably dont fit in your circle. A circle is a place of protection, support, nurturing, honesty, kindness, care and love. The ones that bring you down, create drama, drain your energy, dont support you, dont want to change and are always projecting their negativity and traumas........... They create a cage for you, not a circle. #drandreworr #soultribe #createyourcirclenotacage #breakfreeofthatwhichconfinesyou

You can leave us a message on the phone, or via email, and we will get back to you on the 4th of Jan 2021. ... Regards Dr Andrew Orr

08.01.2022 Instead of waiting for others to change, be the change, be the mirror of what you are wanting in others, or someone else. All to often people tend to blame others, or someone else for their issues, or a relationship, but the truth is, the only change that is needed is inside of you. We are not in control of how others act, or behave, or anything they do. The only thing we are in control of is ourselves and our own behaviours. What we do, what we eat, what we think, what we pr...oject, how we love, how we treat others, is the only thing we are in control of. Trying to control anything else is just going to lead to frustration, resentment and a whole load of anxiety. Lets face it... anxiety is really just the fear of not being able to control everything. Next time you comment that you wish someone would change, or people around you would change, or you wish you could find someone with x,y,z qualities.... have a think about this....... Maybe its time to become the person you have been waiting for. Be the mirror of what you are wanting in someone else, and in others. #drandreworr #bethemirror #becomewhatyouareseekinginothers #bethechange

08.01.2022 Every year, 15 million babies are born premature worldwide. More than one million of these babies die, and many more face serious, lifelong health challenges. Preterm birth is truly a problem that can happen to every one of us, irrespective of the country we live in, our culture or socioeconomic status. Worldwide, one in ten babies are born too early more than 27,000 each year in Australia alone. Giving birth to a child is one of the paramount, most positive experiences i...n life. Having a baby born too soon is a significant trauma for families. Preterm birth also represents a severe financial burden for many families and our often struggling healthcare systems. Raising awareness of preterm birth is the first step to defeating it: Preterm birth rates could be significantly reduced and lowered through overall information and improved treatment and care. November 17 is World Prematurity Day, a globally celebrated awareness day to increase awareness of preterm births as well as the deaths and disabilities due to prematurity and the simple, proven, cost-effective measures that could prevent them. The birth of a premature or sick newborn is an overwhelming and traumatic experience for parents. The families of these miracle babies usually suffer extreme emotional distress and hardship. Their lives are changed permanently with their ability to cope significantly influenced by their experience. Recent research from Stanford University School of Medicine shows clearly that parents whose babies endured long stays in a NICU risk developing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Four months after their experiences, three of the 18 parents in the study had been diagnosed with PTSD and seven were considered high risk. Another study found that 16 weeks after childbirth mothers with access to experienced parents had less anxiety and depression and felt they had more social support." 08.01.2022 Dr Andrew Orr discusses a very important topic about finding someone who can not only help your health condition, but who can also advocate for you, if you have to use other healthcare services, or deal with other healthcare practitioners. This is also part of the inspiration of Dr Andrew Orr setting up "The Experts Program" and working with other healthcare practitioners in a symbiotic relationship, for the greater good of every patient. It is where everyone is working toge...ther, on the same page and helping the patient together as one. Just remember that if you are having troubles getting people to listen, you can always book a consult with me and I can help advocate for you, no matter where you live, or who you have to deal with locally. 08.01.2022 Last week I put up a post about doing a video on "Surgical Intervention- What if they dont find anything?" Ive just finished doing the video for you :-) One of the things I often gets asked is "If I have surgery, what if they dont find anything?"... All sorts of things go around in people head, and rightfully so, but may think that if nothing is found that that their symptoms are all in their head. Not so. Just because there is nothing found via surgical intervention, does not mean that there is nothing there, or there is no disease state. It just means it cannot be visually seen. Here in this video I explain all this and more. Enjoy and hope it answers some questions for people. Just remember that if you do need help with any womens health issue, then please give my friendly staff and call and find out how my "No Stone Left Unturned" multimodality approach can help you. https://drandreworr.com.au/surgical-intervention-but-what-/ #drandreworr #whatiftheydontfindanything #couldstillbeissuesthere #seeanexpert

07.01.2022 Oh my goodness. Seriously melted today and got very clucky when baby Ethan came to visit with his beautiful mum Sophie. Seriously, you should have seen the smile on him and he was sooooo placid and calm and you just wanted to snuggle him up Best part of my job is when couples bring their babies in to see me after their journey to become parents. It is such an honour to be part of this journey with them and then share in their joy when they bring their babies in.... A big thank you to Sophie ( and dad Andrew who couldnt be there) for bringing baby Ethan in today and OMG, how cute was he? Look at that smile Mind you, I couldnt stop smiling at baby Ethan smiling back at me, and it seriously makes you want to have more...lol ..... sooooooo cute Im so hopeless. 06.01.2022 A beautiful friend of mine posted this question a few weeks back and when I saw it, I asked her if I could pinch it to share. It is a tricky topic to talk about because while my intent is to always bring awareness to help people, not everyone is going to see it as helping. The reality is that this very statement will trigger people, for all the wrong reasons. But, even so, the reality is, more than 70% of our population is overweight, and many are suffering ill-health becaus...e of their current diet and lifestyle too. I know I often hear parents say that that would do anything for their children, but when it comes to looking after themselves and doing anything for themselves, that all falls by the way side. The thing is, I do see many peoples health issues starting from a young age, starting from poor dietary habits passed on by their parents. Then these children become unhealthy, become overweight, and actually end up with all sorts of health issues later on in life. Lets face it, inadequate nutrition and excess body fat is a big driver of many disease states being expressed in the body. Excess body fat is one of the biggest drivers of inflammation in the body and also one of the biggest estrogenic driving processes in the body too. Forget external estrogens, although there are over 85,000 environmental estrogens we are exposed to, excess body fat is now known to be the biggest source of bad estrogens- referred to as obesetrogens. It isnt just the living children that parents need to be healthy for, it is also their unborn children too. Everything a man and woman eats, drinks, consumes and thinks can be passed onto a future child through their sperm and eggs. There are numerous studies to support this. In this day and age there are so many resources for help with diet and lifestyle, so nobody should be saying that they do not know what a health diet is. So lets get back to this statement "Many parents say they would do anything for their children...... but.... how many are willing to live a healthier life for them?" Interesting question to ponder. #drandreworr #healthyparentshealthychildren #Healthyeatingstartsathome #preconceptioncare

06.01.2022 What are you passionate about? What really sets your soul on fire? Do you know what your personal gifts are?... For me, music has always been a love and a passion. It is also one of my true soul gifts and something that has always set my soul on fire. There are many other things that do this for me, but music has always been one of my first loves. Not many people know that I actually play, write and record music. I have played in bands, sung on stage in concerts, been part of musicals and musical theatre, and even done solo and duo work in pubs and other venues. My greatest joy is now hearing all my children play a musical instrument and immerse themselves into the beauty of the music within. Hearing them play warms my heart and brings a joyful tear to my eyes. Many times I write and play music, it is just a personal thing for my ears only too. I do it to express my feelings, channel music and words within me, and record a part of me that I need to express at the time. Sometimes I may write a song, or just a piece of music for someone, and share in giving them a small part of a gift of me. Music has always been there for me. From a small boy right through to my adult years, through some of the happiest times in my life, right through to the lowest points I have ever experienced. Music was always there & allowed me to laugh, to cry, to express my inner emotions, and express my heart and soul. To me, music can evoke every emotion within us. It can make us dance, it can make us sing, it can bring up memories, it can make us remember, it can make us feel, and most of all, it can tap into heart space and evoke the feelings of love and joy. One of the things I try and teach my patients, teach my friends, and most of all teach my own children, is to find what you are passionate about. Find what ignites the flame within. Find what sets your heart & soul on fire. Then do that..and..do it often. When you truly find what can be as powerful as music is to me, then do it and never stop doing it. When you find your gift within, that is where you heal, & realise just how amazing that you really are. #drandreworr #passionwithin #thegiftofmusic #firstlove

06.01.2022 At greater than 95%, the odds of survival for men with testicular cancer are better than good but for some men, long-term treatment-related side effects, mean quality of life is severely compromised. WHO’S AT RISK? In Australia, testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men.... Men with undescended testes at birth, or who have a family history, like a father or brother who has had testicular cancer, are at an increased risk. And if you’ve had testicular cancer before, there’s also a heightened risk it could return. THE FACTS ABOUT TESTICULAR CANCER Testicles are responsible for the production of male hormones (mostly testosterone) and sperm. Testicular cancer starts as an abnormal growth or tumour that develops in one or both testicles. There are several types of testicular cancer, but the most common is the germ cell tumour. If you've been diagnosed with testicular cancer The most important step is to talk to your doctor about treatment choices. You may consider getting a second or third doctor’s opinion. GET THE LOWDOWN. OUR GUIDE TO CHECKING YOUR NUTS... 1. Get steamy. A warm shower will put your nuts in the mood. 2. Roll one nut between thumb and fingers to get to know what’s normal. 3. Repeat with the other nut. If you notice a change in size or shape, a lump that wasn’t there before, or if they become painful to touch, see a doctor. Don’t panic, but do get it checked out. 06.01.2022 There is a saying... "That which we think, we become" When we are constantly focussed on our problems, or the negative, we become what we are thinking the most. When we focus on the label and wear it as a badge of honour, we become the label and our world revolves around that label. We also draw that negative energy in and create more problems for ourselves. We then lose our identity and cease being ourselves as we become a prisoner to the walls we have created for ourselves.... The hard part for those who create their world of pain and hurt, is breaking free. You have to learn that you are not your trauma, or your disease, or the world and label you have created. You are more than the world created out of your own thoughts, and your own limitations you have set for yourself. By working on bringing in more positivity, more laughter, more self care, more love, and things to be grateful for, the walls that confine you start to crumble and fall. Sunshine enters your heart and soul, the fire within starts to burn, and pain starts to disappear and be less than it was. It isnt an easy road back, but with the right help, with professional help you can get your life back again. Nobody can do it on their own and nobody can fix their own health. You need help and that is a fact. But it is worth it. He who says it cannot be done, has never experienced the taste of freedom. Many a person who were told it cannot be done have broken free, breathed the sweet smell of life in, and created a beautiful life for themselves, free of the label that they created. When you focus on the possibilities, rather than your problems, you have more opportunities. You bring positive energy in. You create change. You move forward. You heal. You get better, and create the life you only thought was possible in your dreams. With our thoughts, we create our world. Just make sure your thoughts are all good ones. Change starts with one positive thought. Time to create a better life, one positive thought at a time. Step by step, little by little, on the road to a better you. #drandreworr #focusonthepossibilities #youarenotyourdisease #dontbuyintothelabel

06.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day This is still one of my favourite pics that depicts what fathers bring to childrens lives. It is that element of fun, that element of teaching them resilience, the element of pushing the boundaries, not being scared to give something a try.....and sometimes ...... the sheer stupidity, but being able to laugh at oneself when you pulled off something stupid and realise... I better not do that again .... Oh... and best not tell your mother ....lol ... To all the wonderful fathers out there. There are things only a father will do, and we love them all the more for it. A special salute to those parents who are mum and dad all in one and do it own their own too. If you fill the role of "Dad", this day is for you. 05.01.2022 Sometimes when you are treading water, just surviving each day, not knowing what to do, or where to go, it can be hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Each day can be a struggle and if one more thing goes wrong, you honestly feel like giving up completely. There are also those that are trying to hold you down, and hold you back, and relish in the power play of doing so. It could be those close to you, or the distant keyboard warrior projecting their own selfish wo...unds, to bring you down to their level. If this is you, I want you to hear this......... You are a gift. A beautiful gift that is seen and one that those who see the real you, are waiting to rise up, conquer and shine. Within you is great power, and a mighty warrior, and if you let go of the negative thoughts in your mind, deflect their projections with your mighty armour, tap into your inner strength, and break free from the prison within, you can rise above be more than you ever realised. Storms, journeys and battles are great teachers and they give us lessons and teaching that can create a great warrior within. You are battle ready, and they are not, and that puts you in a position of power and greatness. Once you tap into the spark within, the fire can be lit, and once the heart opens, the fire within can make you more powerful than you realise. When you feel all is lost, or you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel, or those projecting onto you are trying to keep you down, remember this............... You are more powerful than you know, and they fear the day you discover it. All the power, and all the lessons are within you already. Reach within and use whatever spark is left to light the fire of the powerful, mighty warrior that you have always been and will soon become again. Breath, believe and light the fire within you and all the beautiful things will surround you and guide you on your way home and the beautiful life ahead. I believe in you and so do those who see the real you as well. #drandreworr #youaremorepowerfulthanyouknow #warriorwithin

05.01.2022 The one thing I have learned from my many years in practice, & also life experience, is that you cant help everyone. When I first started out in practice, I used to take it so personally when I could not help everyone and when people just would not do the work. But after a while, you learn to not take it personally & in fact, the issue is with the person, not you. In my line of work, and how I work and what I do, I use a multimodality approach, drawing on many different to...ols, and modalities to help people. It really is that "No stone left unturned" approach. But even when people are given all the tools to help them with their health, help them with their emotions, or help them with a better life, many will still not do everything that could help them. Some will balk and run. Some will do little bits of it, and then revert back to old patterns and behaviours. Some will do half of it, feel better from just doing that, and that is as far as they go. Then you get the ones who do it all, and they are the ones who benefits so greatly and it changes their lives. The thing is, we all have a choice. We can take advice on board & make a change for the better, or not. It really is that simple. Do... or do not. Change... or do not change. If someone truly wants to do something, they will. But for some, that change is so scary, and so far out of their comfort zone, that they will purposely sabotage themselves to stay in their comfort zone. They are so used to being unwell, or it is where they get their attention from, or it is so much their identity, that stepping outside that is just too much. Dont take it personally. Learn that it is their issue, not yours. It doesnt mean you give up, or that you just stop helping people either. Just focus your attention of the ones who are doing the work. Set those healthy boundaries and dont burn yourself out, or come down to the level of those who try to drag you there, or blame you for when something they perceive is not working. It is them not working, not you. You cant save everyone. Many people are going to destroy themselves, or self sabotage themselves, no matter how much you try to help them. #drandreworr

04.01.2022 As many may know, or may not know, my motto for the work I do is "No stone left unturned". So I have always resonated with this saying. While it is a bit different, this is about removing things step by step and how by doing so, you can achieve great things. When we look at doing the inner work, or getting fit, or getting our health in order, it can seem a very daunting challenge. All we see is this huge mountain of a challenge ahead, and why so many become overwhelmed, or wh...o just do not start at all. Many will also look for the easy way out because they just do not want to do the work that is needed to be a better person, work on their health, or create a better life for themselves. But, the thing is, there is no easy way to good health, or being a better you, or working on creating a better life for yourself. There is no magic pill. There honestly isnt and people need to stop looking for one and be honest with themselves that to achieve the thing they need to do, it is going to be hard work, but also worth it. When you need to do the work, it is going to be like a marathon. You need to put in the training, work on the physical and emotional side of things, eat good foods, sleep, drink water, and do what ever it takes to get to your destination. It requires daily commitment and actually getting in and doing the work. That is how you achieve your goals. It really is step by step, day by day, and every day you are creating a new you on your way to being the you that you need to be. Nothing happens overnight. Nothing happens in a week. It all takes time and it is also about maintaining the work once you get there, or you will be right back to where you started from if you dont. But once you have done the work, it will just be a normal part of your daily existence and be a breeze. Just remember this: "Those who remove mountains begin by carrying away small stones" #drandreworr #nostoneleftunturned #smallsteps #nomagicpill #smallstonesremoveamountain

03.01.2022 The biggest danger to most people is their own minds and thoughts. It can actually get to a point that our thoughts make us very unwell, hold us back, and create a prison for us. Perception is our reality and once the irrational thought processes take over, our reality can not only be a very irrational and negative one, but it can also start impacting our physical and mental wellbeing as well. To maintain good health, it is important to nourish our bodies with good fresh w...hole foods. We are what we eat and the same goes for our mind. What we feed our mind... we then become. If you feed it fear, feed it negativity, feed it irrational things, feed it trauma, feed it with all paranoia, well... that is what you will default to. Your mind will believe everything you feed it so do the following and do it often....... Feed it with love Feed it with truth Feed it with all the beautiful things Then watch your life open up and watch how you will create the life you have always been dreaming of. With our thoughts, we create our world. Make your thoughts beautiful ones to nourish the mind, body and soul <3 #drandreworr #perceptionisreality #feedandnourishyourmindwiththebeautifulthings

01.01.2022 One of the things I get routinely asked is...... "What if I have the surgery and they dont find anything. Does that mean it is all in my head?" I know many people want a diagnosis and an answer to everything, and sometimes when they cant be given one, their mind goes to all sorts of places.... "Am I crazy?".... "Is it all in my head?".... "I am going to die?" .... "If they cant find anything, then what is causing my pain and symptoms?" All these things are part of the millions of thoughts that zoom around a womans mind when it comes to surgery, and part of my job is explaining things properly to them and giving them peace of mind. Because I get asked this question so often, I am going to do a full post on it, and explain everything in full, so that people do understand, and also dont do their heads in with stupid answers from Dr Google and Co. So stay tuned when I explain all this and more tomorrow night. Get your advice from a real health expert, not your Dr Google search :-) #drandreworr #dontgoogleyourhealthsymptoms #Getproperadvice #Seeanexpert #whatiftheydontfindanything #timetoexplainthefacts

01.01.2022 Movember - Mens health issues THE FACTS ABOUT PROSTATE CANCER Only men have a prostate gland.
