24.01.2022 Do you have a morning routine? Having a morning routine is something many coaches would recommend for getting your mind and body set for the day. Your routine could involve things like: ... Watching the sunrise (lots of physiological benefits to help balance hormone levels and your sleep wake cycle by watching the sun rise) Warm lemon and water or apple cider vinegar first thing when you wake to alkaline the body 10-60mins meditation - to calm and set the mind A round of breath work - to stimulate the body and get life filled breath to every part of your body, finger tips to toes. Yoga!!!!! Of course. Journalling or setting intentions for the day Waking up to your favourite song, that brings you happiness is an amazing anchor for your day. Grounding on the earth (standing bare feet on earth), grounds your energy and helps it flow. Tony Robbins calls this your hour of power. However it can be whatever it is for you. Having this time to stop and care for your body, mind and spirit before the kids wake of the busy- ness starts for the day, is a fantastic way to fill your cup every day. If you're new to this concept, start small. Maybe a warm cup of lemon tea and 5 mins of sitting quietly and doing deep belly breathing to ground yourself for the day. 19.01.2022 Anger vrs Aggression... Do you know the difference? This is something I regularly explain to my clients, and help change beliefs around it. So often I see peop...le with the belief that anger is not ok, and they must be bad to feel it. This belief is one of the biggest blocks when it comes to increasing your emotional intelligence. Why? Feeling angry isn't a pleasurable experience! I may hear you saying. Sure... It can feel tight, heavy, have a burning sensation or like something needs to just explode out of you. The thing is, anger is a normal human emotion. It is actually a really valuable emotion in relationships and understanding yourself better. Anger usually, not always, but usually arises as a result of your boundaries or values being crossed. This is something to listen to and pay attention to, don't you think? If you are able to be so in tune with the little triggers within you that help to tell you, "hey... something is not right here", you can then communicate it more effectively in your situation. The problem is, we don't allow ourselves to feel and release anger in a healthy way every day, so it just keeps simmering under the surface, until all of a sudden the heat gets turned up and it boils and explodes out of the pot. You being the pot. This is aggression, when it explodes and is forceful or uncontrollable, this is not ok. That's not healthy anger, that's aggression. Generally speaking to get to that point, there have been little bubbles going on under the surface for a while that hasn't been spoken about, or acknowledged. Take time to check in with your body every day, to see if there are any simmers under the surface and things that you could communicate better. Anger is a beautiful emotion, honour it, listen to it, learn from it. #anger #angermanagement #emotionalintelligence #honouryouremtions #selfleadership #leadership

17.01.2022 Did you know there are 2 industry's that people look to for guidance with their health? Wellness & healthcare. ... What's the difference? Wellness is a lifestyle choice about how to prevent the body going into Disease. (Dis-Ease) It's about nurturing the natural healing processes that are within our bodies already, and using whole, pure remedies that haven't been scientifically manipulated. Healing is done through finding the root cause of the Dis-Ease. This may be a physical, structural stress, chemical - our environment and foods we eat, or emotional and mindset. Our mindset can result in more emotional reactivity which adds stress to our body. Health care industry is all about treating the symptom, the immediate discomfort. Using drugs that are modelled on ancient remedies that are naturally occurring. It's also about putting responsibility onto our Drs to heal, rather than us working with them, to heal ourselves. Let's externally add medicines etc to our body rather than trust what is already there. A trend that is being seen is in child birth, bringing back procedures that allow the female body to do what it was created to do. Eg. Delayed cord clamping, water births and baby led breast attachment. Did you know (adapted from a shared post) I would love to see more Drs educating patients about things like: - Using s s s ss? ( ) - ing /s s Ps? (s ss , & sss, s ) I have just done this, & it's wonderful not to suffer with heartburn anymore. - s & s s ? (Ashwagandha and so many more) - x s s s & s? (s & s s x s, s s & s) Products that have long lasting fragrance (perfumes, cleaning products, scented candles) have phthalates to prolong the fragrance, these have been linked to thyroid diseases, digestion issues, hormone imbalance, headaches etc. - W ’ , ss & ’ ? (s s s ’ ss s) - can s, /s, s sss, s, s? ( s with s/xs ) Skin issues are ALWAYS connected to your gut & foods you eat. - Do know s & s s /s s? ( s s s .) - ing has so many benefits? (s ss , s & , s s & , s s & s ) -Being educated on the quality of food available is vastly different to what it was 60 years ago. The nutrient level is in some cases 70% lower than it use to be. For eg. Iron in spinach. Supplementing with high grade supplements will make a significant difference to your energy levels. (ss/s/s ss s & s s s) W ’ s s s s s s & anxiety; s s . (s s e ; /o s s, s s ) Choose to be empowered and understand your health before giving your power away to someone who isn't living and experiencing your body. I remember I went on a pill just before I got married, and within a few days I was starting to have dark thoughts, so immediately came off it. My dr at the time said usually I would insist on you staying on for at least 3 weeks. Our hormones effect they way our whole body works, and hence our mental health. 60% of serotonin has now been found to be produced in the gut. If what you eat and put into your body is not healthy and right for your body. Good luck having good mental health! As this is mental health awareness week, this is the education that needs to be shared with everyone. Your gut health = your mental health (Yes I acknowledge there can be other factors that need to be considered, but is always the first step). It's time to take your power back! 02.01.2022 I love what I do! It's amazing to get comments from clients like this... I had an awesome week with my clients, fantastic learnings and breakthroughs. In one session this week with a client who has experienced trauma in his life, he said "I feel really light, I haven't experienced that much relief in the 30 years I have been trying to heal this, as I have in the last 2 hrs with you." ... Makes my heart shine, to know I help my clients move out of the trauma they are living, and enjoy life again.
01.01.2022 #bizfriday Just your weekly reminder to rest & give love to yourself. Having work life balance is really important in times like these. ... For lifelong wellness & optimal productivity we need to ensure our physiology moves into calm regularly throughout the day, this is the state where your body is able to effectively rest, digest and activate the natural healing processes in your bodies design. One of my mentors who I adore, talks about as coaches we need to always be on to be serving those around us. I actually disagree with this. If we have the belief that we always need to be on & giving value to others, or giving, giving, giving to our families, it sets our body up to become stuck in the sympathetic nervous system, and hence the symptoms of chronic stress and exhaustion can eventuate. We need to have regular time to just BE every day. Be in our bodies, be present with loved ones without doing, feel the safety & calm around & within you. Enjoy the sensation of being alive. Do you have strategies where you ensure your senses actually calm down, where your hearing isn't on alert the whole time? Are you taking steps to ensure the light receptors in your nervous system aren't being triggered and disrupting your body's natural physiological cycles? (Rest, digest and healing cycles) Do you take time each day to feel into & release the energies, tension or sensations in your body? Our body's have amazing processes that it innately does to ensure it can be functioning optimally. Our job is to respect our body and give it the environment it needs to do the processors that are within us already. Have a fantastic restful weekend.
