24.01.2022 Notice! Thank you for all our loyal customers who have been supporting us throughout the years. We hope to continue looking after our customers for a long time into the future. It is, however, proving more challenging each year with the rising costs. Therefore we are making a few changes to continue to keep it affordable to our customers and also possible for us to keep the business going. One of the major changes will be our elimination of EFTPOS use, in which payment method... will now be by cash . I know this will be a inconvenience to a lot of people, however, we decide to do this rather than raising our prices. 07.01.2022 !!! Reminder !!! We are going to be strict on our no show and late cancellation policy. A minimum of $30 per client will be charged for each booking that results in a no show or late cancellation. There's no point cancelling after the start of your booking and people just simply don't care when we contact them or even just cancelling our calls. We have worked and fought very hard to keep our doors open to provide genuine and honest service to our customers. ... I know everyone is busy and cannot always make it to appointments. However, we have to turn away customers to honour all bookings and it is unfair for our business, our other clients and also our staff (who could be doing something else much more valuable then sitting around waiting) and then get no shows. A simple phone call takes just 1 minute. So please be understanding and help us stay in business. We all take pride in our work and respect all our valuable customers. Hopefully this courtesy and respect is mutual as we strive to improve and continue providing great service to our great community. Staff still needs to be paid even when there are no shows or late cancellations, therefore fees are in place to cover all costs. 06.01.2022 We are excited to announce a new service that will be available to our clients in the coming weeks. It's the safer, more friendly approach to facial hair removal for men and women. Our highly skilled staff will be able to offer threading to clients at a very special introductory price! In threading, a thin (cotton or polyester) thread is doubled, then twisted. It is then rolled over areas of unwanted hair, plucking the hair at the follicle level. Unlike tweezing, where singl...e hairs are pulled out one at a time, threading can remove short lines of hair. Advantages cited for eyebrow threading, as opposed to eyebrow waxing, are that it provides more precise control in shaping eyebrows and is gentler on the skin without the use of heat and chemicals. Redness is also minimal and disappears faster as opposed to waxing. WHAT IS THREADING? Threading is an ancient hair removal technique where antibacterial cotton is used in a special method to remove facial hair and shape beautiful eyebrows. An accredited threading artist twists the cotton and rolls this over the skin, to gently lift the entire hair from the follicle. Most people don’t realize every time they wax they remove layers of skin and some people can be red for days. The redness is caused not only by this skin damage but in some cases a reaction to the chemicals that are in the wax. Threading is therefore a great alternative and helps protect the facial skin whilst still providing hair removal. There are a few different techniques for threading. These include the hand method, mouth method and neck. Each technique has advantages and disadvantages; however, the mouth holding method is the fastest and most precise. Threading allows for a more defined and precise shape and can create better definition for eyebrows. It is also used as a method of removing unwanted hair on the entire face and upper lip area. Threading is not a good method for removing hair on arms or legs, as the hair in those regions is typically quite coarse and there is too much to remove. Just some benefits of threading: 1. 100% natural hair removal method as no waxes or chemicals are applied to skin. 2. Our experience staff will provide an experience as pain free as possible. 3. Incredibly accurate! Hair can be removed individually or in 'lines' to create a perfect shape for the eyebrows. It picks up all the hair on the surface even really fine and short hair can also be removed. 4. Threading has less adverse affects and will not burn, cause trauma or allergic reactions to the skin like other hair removal methods. The skin usually doesn’t turn bright red as skin layers are not being removed and as there is little irritation to the area it is possible to go over the area more than once. 5. Threading is a suitable alternative hair removal treatment for client’s that are using acne treatments or have been asked to avoid waxing as the technique does not damage the skin and only removes the unwanted hair.
