10.01.2022 Congratulations to all our players who competed at the Australian Tennis Championships in Melbourne. We were provided with some thrilling and exciting matches, a direct result of your commitment to training and tournament participation. If your goal is to progress your tennis, a training and matchplay/competition plan is the way forwards. Recently I presented at the Grand Slam Coaches Conference and the Davis Cup Inclusive Workshop. My presentation included coaching PWID as... well as working in Special Schools. This was an amazing opportunity and one I had been wanting for some time. This provided a chance to share experiences and to educate other coaches why and how tennis is an amazing inclusive sport that provides so many benefits and rewards for students, coaches and clubs/centres. There is exciting times ahead for the TA PWID Program. Update on Training for this year. The PWID State Training is "Talent Development" focused. The vision is to develop a clear pathway. The pathway will include Tennis Australia ID Development Programs and Coaches providing inclusive and progressive opportunities.
