25.01.2022 Today I would like to share another of my circa aurora tracks. Jimmy Barnes was never my favourite singer to listen to, but a lot of his lyrics and themes resonate with me. I remember dancing to this song in year 7 in the school gym at recess time, with the volume up so loud that I didnt hear the teacher roar in and tell us off! LAY DOWN YOUR GUNS, done my way. . 23.01.2022 This was actually the first track I recorded for my 'circa aurora' project, back before I knew what it would grow into. It is officially released today. Candle on the Water holds a very special place in my heart - it was one of my absolute favourite songs that I sang with my vocal group Mayfair, a group I was a member of for 20 years. It was such a special song that I walked down the aisle to it on my wedding day, when the group sang it for me live. It brings back incredible memories every time I hear it. 13.01.2022 STRANGEST THING THAT'S HAPPENED AT A GIG - I've had a few interesting moments on stage over the years, from being bitten on my belly by ants and having to keep singing, to being offered food by children, forgetting the words is always fun but the strangest was at an Eisteddfod as a kid, singing in the choir when an adult member fainted. I was close to him in the Altos section and felt something wierd going on, but we all kept singing. I had no idea what happened til coming off stage. One time I asked him how he knew all the words to the songs, and he told me it was because he wrote them .. and of course I believed him. .
