24.01.2022 So much love and thanks to our donors for giving one of our wonderful patients a special Sunday surprise. Mick wanted fish & chips on the beach - and we decided... he should do that - but in style. While Mick couldnt ride his Indian motorbike anymore, we made sure he could still get that wind-rush in his face, by riding upfront in a classic 1957 Chevy convertible. Mick loves Chevys, having owned one himself, so on a perfect sunny day, George from All American 57 Chevy Services Adelaide wedding car hire came to the Hospice, picked up Mick, his wife Cathy & their 2 lovely daughters & took the scenic route along Semaphore, Grange & Henley Beach. Thank you so much George! Wed booked a special table at Grange Jetty Cafe and Mick, Cathy & their family (with son-in-laws too!) got the seafront fish & chip lunch they wanted, with some fine wine - and some wonderful memories of a special family day together, before hitting the road again. We never ever forget that its our donors that truly make the difference in the lives of our very special patients and their families. On Sunday, they gave Mick and his family something priceless.

10.01.2022 A big surprise for our patient Jeff a couple of days ago. Jeff has been passionate about Chevys and Monaros all his life, owning and doing up much-loved Chevy...s over the years. Sadly, Jeff had to sell his own beloved Chevy Corvette not long ago. But waiting out the back of the Hospice this week was a beautifully restored 1957 white Chevy convertible. There to chat with Jeff about all-things-Chevy was George from All American 57 Chevy Services. Jeffs big grin said it all. It was a mutual car-lovers delight. Lots of technical talk and photos over the next hour, as Jeff checked out every aspect of Georges Chevy and they spoke about their favourite models. Despite the heat, Jeff said it was just where hed rather be. We are so grateful to George for giving up his time and bringing his beautiful car to the Hospice. These are priceless moments.
