24.01.2022 Just another day hanging out waiting for the pub to open and our raffles to start again. If anyone watched my live video and was concerned about how I hung my furgrandbaby from the fence at the pub?? No Bambi's were harmed in the making of these photos.

23.01.2022 Isn’t this wonderful our immune compromised kids were not able to visit the fairy garden when they had no neutrophils as they could become extremely sick from a mozzie bite. A lot of time spent out here with the boys during our time stuck on the ward.

23.01.2022 Last Friday we dropped another four (4) Bags of Happiness to the John Hunter Hospital. In addition, we donated a $250 visa gift card for Ronnie the playlady to buy arts and crafts for the sick kid's stuck on a the ward.

22.01.2022 Hi All, We have decided to extend the final entry date for our Pet's and People charity calendar competition until 5pm Friday 30th October. Unfortunately, we only have a handful of entries and are hoping that by extending the date (and giving it an advertising boost), we will get a few more brave pet's and people willing to support this great cause.... If you can't be bothered filling out the online form, or don't know how or can't, and just want to upload your picture to our page or event page -- at this stage, JUST GO FOR IT. We'll worry about the paperwork later. Just please, get your entry in!!!! This is your chance to be in a calendar!! And remember, your support will help us put smiles on sick childrens faces through our Bags of Happiness program. Children who should be living life, not fighting for it. So get on board and help us help them. All proceeds raised will support our Bag's of Happiness, which are distributed through the John Hunter Children's Oncology and Haematology Hospital. https://fb.me/e/c106nSzpI

20.01.2022 Another 4 bags being taken to the Oncology unit today. Thank you for to all our supporters, especially Biddabah Public school, Commercial Hotel Boolaroo and Aquaviro for your sanitiser donation. The pain these families are feeling at this time of year can’t be put into words. We understand it all too much having Emma relapse exactly 5 years ago on the 10th. Cherish the good days and know we are always thinking of you on the bad. Merry Christmas everyone

19.01.2022 Have you ever wanted to say you have followed an artist since before they were famous?? Well here's your chance!!! 19.01.2022 3 bags taken into the hospital today. We would like to thank all our regular sponsors and families who have donated both craft and vouchers. We couldn’t do what we do without you. We were lucky enough to be able to put a hand sanitiser in each bag also today, thank you @aquaviro for your donation.

19.01.2022 I cannot believe this!!!!! We have just received a bid of $500 from Paul Le Mottee from Le Mottee Group Pty Ltd for the month of May. That means that unless he ...is outbid, Paul Le Mottee from Le Mottee Group has secured a place in our INAUGURAL 2021 CHARITY PET'S AND PEOPLE CALENDAR!!!!!! Go Paul. Love your bravery, kind heart and generous donation. We cant wait to see your photo. (Unless some cheeky bugger outbids you ) Who else wants to secure a month? We only have four months up for auction. The rest are for the competition winners.

19.01.2022 Big thanks to a lovely lady called Marlene who handmade these beautiful items and donated them for us to give to sick kids.

16.01.2022 Come on down to 16 Main road Boolaro and help support our charity. With our fundraisers being cancelled this year we need all the help we can get

14.01.2022 I'm going to have a shower and then drawer the raffle. Too much information? Well buy a ticket now. We have sold 77 tickets (good odds for winning) and raised $305 thus far, which equals 3 bags of happiness. Make my day and make it $400 sold when i do the live draw in half an hour. Apparently it's easy to do online so there's really no excuse.... https://www.raffletix.com.au/?ref=fk8nf

14.01.2022 Last week we were running a little low on supplies for our Bag's of Happiness. So for the first time in over one month's isolation, I made a calculated decision to risk Target, believing it wouldn't be as crowded as Kmart. Suffice to say, I was wrong and whether justified or not, I may have slightly freaked out

14.01.2022 OMG thank you to the wonderful people who supported our calendar by sending in a photo of you and your pet. The calendar is ready and we can't thank you enough. For those too shy or ugly to send in a photo, you can now support us and buy a calendar to help us keep putting smiles on the faces of sick kids. Remember, we haven't been able to fundraise this year but kids have been diagnosed with cancer at the same rate and our Bags of Happiness program has not stopped. So please reach out and buy a $15 calendar ($7 goes to charity - calendar ended up costing $8 each). You can purchase at the commercial hotel or second love treasures (today and Monday) or you can pay us $20 and we are happy to post it to you.

14.01.2022 Looks like the drop bears are at it again.

13.01.2022 Thank you to our wonderful families that have donated to our bags of happiness over the last few weeks. Another 2 bags were delivered via social distance today. We are very humbled by the donations we have received. Look out for your name on coming $50 gift vouchers if you donated

13.01.2022 Thank you so much Biddabah Public School. Biddabah have been a great support to our small charity from day one

13.01.2022 Don't forget we are running our first online raffle for mother's Day. It's a great way to help support a much needed cause and hopefully win an awesome honey pack for someone special (or keep it for yourself, you won't find better local honey. Drawn Sunday so do it now so you dont miss out. #onelove #all4oneall4love #munibunghillfreshlocalhoney

13.01.2022 We have had a number of donations since we put out the call to help. I won't name everyone here because I'm not sure the names of the people who have dropped donations off to Jackie but you know who you are we from the bottom of our heart's , we sincerely thank you. It's not an easy time for anyone at the moment, so it's reassuring to know that even when we are going through hardship ourselves, that we think of and care for others who are doing it even tougher.

12.01.2022 Nothing like camping in the bush and selling a calendar. Many thanks to Amber and Sam from Kiama. I mentioned the calendar and offered to give them my "slightly beat up" calendar (remember we are camping in the rain) but they refused to take it without paying $15. It's people like this that keep the world turning and our charity going. Thanks again to everyone for your support.

12.01.2022 Don't forget our Mother's Day raffle closes soon and will be drawn tomorrow. All money raised will go towards our Bag's of Happiness. To be honest, only a few of our most loyal supporters have purchased tickets so at the moment, the odds are looking good for those who have entered. Good luck to those who are in it, that's the only way to win it ... https://www.raffletix.com.au/?ref=fk8nf

10.01.2022 On this freezing Friday, we want to send as much cute love and support to all the kid's who are stuck inside and wishing they could go for a walk outside like Bambi. Soon the will break through the clouds and shine bright, and hopefully, a beautiful big rainbow will be painted across the sky. Until then, we are thinking of you all and will keep sending our love and strength . In addition to our awesome Bag's of Happiness and gifts to the kids through the John Hunter Chi...ldren's Hospital Oncology and Haematology department. Please like and share our page to keep up to date with upcoming events and fundraisers. Website will be live soon.

03.01.2022 Anyone looking for knitted beanies (including baby sized beanies) or crocheted rugs?? All money goes towards our Bags of Happiness program through the JHH children's oncology department.

03.01.2022 When we started this charity, we knew we would be fundraising for kids that we would probably never know or meet. For us, we just wanted to give back and help support sick kid's through our own experience with Emma. Simply knowing we are helping is enough. Yet, when I was lucky enough to randomly meet a little hero called Rocky yesterday, I jumped at the opportunity to pass on one of our Bags of Happiness. I can't wait to meet Rocky again and pass on the love in person for... once. PS, thanks again to the Master Bag Maker - @jackieblundell for whipping up another Bag of Happiness. Hopefully I can get a couple of pic's of Rocky when I give it to him, with a big smile across his gorgeous face. I also through in a few handmade gifts for Rocky and his sister - donated by a lovely lady called Marlene. Cheers, Nicole

02.01.2022 Don’t forget we are still fundraising with our digital entertainment books. Anyone looking at purchasing a new entertainment book please do so by clicking this link. Every cent counts and with our major fundraisers having to be cancelled we need all the help we can get. https://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/orderbooks/9a56602

01.01.2022 This post is mostly for the kids, parents, caregivers and families going through the same battle (or like) that we did for many years. When Emma relapsed, before transplant, we'd watch the movie Flicka and we'd tell Emma she had the heart of a mustang, like Flicka. She'd say she was getting fast mustang blood which was going to make her better. We'd talk about riding horses when she was better and we told her my horse Sally was hers so she had to get better and look after he...r. At the time, we couldn't imagine letting Emma on a horse regardless. At the time, we had her wrapped in cotton wool and intended to keep her safe forever. No way was her mother ever letting her on a horse. Too dangerous!! So it was with immense pride, happiness and a little bit of natural fear, when Emma had her first proper riding lesson yesterday (besides being led around on Sally (white horse in photo) this was the first time she rode a horse (Midnight) using the bridle). She was such a natural and so brave and fearless. I know that none of us know what tomorrow will bring but hopefully today, this post provides a little bit of hope and inspiration that dreams can come true. Many thanks to Mick Alchin, Tash and Coa for giving up their time and support.
