Federal Government have provided temporary changes to the CCS activity test, for up to 12 weeks from 13 July to 4 October 2020. During this period, families can access up to 100 hours of subsidised early learning (childcare), per child, per fortnight where they now have a reduced number of hours of work, training, study or other recognised activity, compared to their activity level prior to COVID-19 by updating their activity test levels with Centrelink. 20.01.2022 The children in the kindergarten room did a wonderful job of peeling, cutting and grating the beautiful beetroots we harvested from our veggie beds yesterday. Theyhad a little taste and Miss Maria is going to make us some beetroot dip for today. We cant wait to taste it! 12.01.2022 SPACE WEEK 2020! Last week the children & educators were thrilled to share there passion of space with families and each other. Each room created their very own planet using paint, collage materials, glitter & glue then our wonderful Miss Lauren brought it all together and created a masterpiece in the foyer! 12.01.2022 NAIDOC week celebrations have been occurring in each of the rooms throughout the centre this week. The children in the Junior Kindy room had fun painting with Yellow Ochre that one of our wonderful parents found on the hill next to the Centre. Ochre is a natural non toxic clay earth pigment that the educators mixed with water and created some face and arm painting masterpieces.

05.01.2022 A week of celebrations! Yesterday we wished Miss Margie a Happy Birthday and also said goodbye to Miss Nicola who has now started her maternity leave. We can’t wait to meet your new addition when she arrives. We hope you both had an awesome day

05.01.2022 Our kindergarten friends had more fun in the veg garden this week. The beetroots that we have been growing were ready for harvest so we peeled and sliced them to reveal the beautiful circles and Miss Maria baked them for us as a delicious addition to our lunch, thank you Maria. We also used the garden to practise our scissor skills by using scissors to chop our chives and once again Miss Maria worked with hard to create some delicious cheese and chive scones for afternoon tea. We are so lucky to have access to such wonderful learning opportunities.

04.01.2022 Dear Families Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is starting again on 13 July 2020. If you were receiving CCS before 6 April 2020, it will automatically start again if youve stayed eligible and your enrolment is current and confirmed.... Follow these five steps to make sure youve stayed eligible and receive the right amount of CCS: Give Centrelink your 202021 family income estimate to receive the correct CCS percentage and avoid an overpayment. Check your activity hours to receive the correct amount of hours of CCS per fortnight*. Make sure your child meets immunisation requirements. Check your childs enrolment details are current with your child care service and re-enrol if you need to. Confirm your income for 201819 if you havent already by 30 June 2020. *From 13 July 2020, the Australian Government is easing the activity test for CCS. This means you may be able to apply for extra activity hours if COVID-19 has affected you. There will be more information about how to do this in July. If youre new to child care, you should claim CCS as soon as possible. From 13 July 2020, youll pay full fees unless youre getting CCS. For more information, visit Services Australia. The Department of Education, Skills and Employment has created an information sheet for families about the transition arrangements for the end of the Early Childhood Education and Care Relief Package and the return to CCS.

03.01.2022 In continuing with our NAIDOC week activities, Senior Toddlers & Kindy used Ochre in a powder form mixed with water into a paste. Senior Toddlers, created representational masterpieces of a Gecko, whilst Kindy concentrated on the mixing process and use of the utensils. This was a lovely way for the children to learn that artwork was used to share stories as there was no written language for the Australian Aboriginal people, therefore they used symbols to share their culture stories.

01.01.2022 This year the All About Kids family have been given the opportunity to help an amazing organisation that is involved in helping our community for Christmas. With the help of Havafeed Relief we are all pulling together and asking you all if you are able to help us donate some non-perishable foods to help those in need this Christmas season. Havafeed Relief is a non-profit organisation on the Gold Coast, QLD, extending a hand to local homeless communities providing meals, gu...idance & hope. Items we can donate are: Canned foods, noodles, long life milk, pasta, pasta sauces, cereals, toothpaste, toothbrush’s, small dish washing detergents, toilet paper... We will have a basket located in the foyer for you to leave your donations that will be collected on the 15th of December. Thank you all in advance and know that every little bit helps so nothing is too small. We thank our lovely Miss Nikki for arranging this on behalf of the Centre.

01.01.2022 Yesterday, Wednesday the 29th of July, we had some very exciting visitors come to All About Kids. The team from Just Dream Productions brought along two dinosaurs named Rosa and Alex and a little baby dinosaur named Sarah. The children enjoyed fossicking for treasure as well as painting their very own dinosaur.
