20.01.2022 I highly recommend anything that Kirsty of The Dog Nose does, including this online event! And for those in Aussie timezones, it's worth getting up for

20.01.2022 During this episode of Dog Tails, Sarina and I chat with Dr Susanne Lautner who is a veterinarian based in Austria. We discuss the topic of pain in dogs and how to recognise and deal with it.

19.01.2022 I feel very lucky to have learnt from Turid Rugaas over the years and how wonderful that she is celebrating 50 years in the dog training world! If you havent yet come across this famous dog expert I would recommend you read up on her work, particularly her book on calming signals. https://www.amazon.com.au/Talking-Terms-Dogs-C//1929242360

19.01.2022 For me? Checking out a delivery from Barking Good Animal Naturopath & Pet Treats. Im excited to have found this local company who supply high quality natural dog chews, perfect for teething puppies (and dogs of all ages). Chewing produces feel-good chemicals so make sure your dog has plenty of opportunities for solid chew time

19.01.2022 Telling me all about his tough life and that time he was given a liver treat when really he wanted a chicken one

18.01.2022 Do you use a dog sitter or dog daycare? Or need some help deciding if you should, and what to look for? Listen to this episode of Dog Tails with Manja Leissner of QimmiQ Lodge as we chat about her gold standard facility and dog care ethos. If she wasnt based on the other side of the world, Id be using her amazing services in a heartbeat!

18.01.2022 Love this. Theres more to relaxed walking than equipment but a comfortable and well fitting harness which doesnt risk damage to the neck and eyes is great place to start

18.01.2022 Happy Sunday everyone

17.01.2022 What a fine snout I do love a scruffy hound!

17.01.2022 It was great to chat about my path into dog training as part of Wood Property's inside story series. It's easy to forget how far you've come and what it took to get there. It really is a privilege to be able to work with so many amazing humans and dogs. I'm excited for what the next chapter will bring https://www.woodproperty.com.au/ta38-all-dogs-are-good-the/

17.01.2022 Wise advice from a wonderful colleague (and Walter!) at Help At Hand Dog Training & Behaviour. Its normal to be tempted to do more rather than less when we bring a new dog or puppy into our lives. But spaciousness and calm go a long, long way towards a happy future.

15.01.2022 In case you missed it, you can hear me chat about all things puppies with the team at Smiling Leash. Smiling Leash is a community dedicated to sharing special moments with dogs. Their website is a great resource for those wanting calm and happy walks: www.smilingleash.com.

13.01.2022 A solid recall has a lot to do with a solid relationship. Theres lots of ways to train a dog to come when called but you also have to be nice to come back to! Rewards help but also make sure you never get cross when they do return (even if it takes a long time) and dont issue a load of commands when they reach you. Pick your moments and dont overdo it. If they are in the middle of an interaction with another dog it can be poor dog etiquette to run off suddenly so skill up on your canine body language knowledge and respect their use of it. The book On Talking Terms With Dogs by Turid Rugaas is a great place to start

13.01.2022 When you cant quite decide which of your five dog beds to choose from so you snuggle into two of them

12.01.2022 Dogs being incredible as always

11.01.2022 Check out the latest episode of Dog Tails as we chat about food! Canine nutrition is a topic I feel very strongly about and there is so much misinformation out there. Switching to a high quality and fresh diet can have a huge impact on your dog physically and mentally

11.01.2022 Last year All Dogs Are Good and Winkie Spiers, Dog Trainer & Behaviour Consultant spent time in London designing and filming our ideal puppy course. Puppies Unleashed is a crash course for all new puppy parents, covering key topics across 6 units with video, resources and takeaway activities. We are SO pleased to be launching this project and want to invite everyone to unleash their puppies with us! https://www.alldogsaregood.com/puppiesunleashed

08.01.2022 Sighthound buddies exploring together. While puppy play is often the go-to when we think of early socialisation, time with sensible adults dogs is extremely valuable and helps pups to learn that simply hanging out is important too.

08.01.2022 Delighted to be running #socialwalks again with great clients and wonderful dogs These classes allow dogs to spend quality time together in a relaxed setting while we work on observing body language and simple walking skills. The puppies loved doing a treat search together last week!
