21.01.2022 CAUTION - IMPORTANT REMINDER ALWAYS supervise your pups when giving them treats and toys! Had a scare with Kaia and the pictured treats her and Misia got one each while I unpacked my groceries. ... I heard a strange noise, looked over and saw Kaia coughing and pawing at her face. She was choking I stuck my hand in her mouth and felt nothing (people have lost fingers like this). I let her go for a second to recoup, and in the chaos Misia dropped her treat to investigate. Kaia launched herself onto the second treat and tried to run away. I managed to get it off her, and she continued choking. I performed the Heimlich with no relief but this time when I reached into her mouth, the treat had come up enough for me to sweep it to dislodge it and pull it out. It was the entire sweet potato slice she hadn’t even tried to chew it. Swallowed it whole! So PLEASE remember never to leave your pups unsupervised when giving them anything to chew on as it could lead to an emergency. Thankfully Kaia is fine, but had I not been there to intervene it may have been a different story

So far, thanks to the funds raised by these pet portraits (and those who donated just because) I’ve been able to replace vital PPE, torches and other Search and Rescue equipment ... However, I still have a radio, kit bag and hiking pack to go Two styles available: watercolour or oil painting To make your portrait I require a high resolution photo of your pet. Your photo should be evenly lit, and taken straight on (especially if you want an oil portrait). I’ll give you my email address to send your photos through. Payment is required up front (I make them by order of payment) and you will have your photo delivered to you via an email link within 7 days. These can then be printed on canvas or paper and framed to make great Birthday/Christmas gifts, with someone even commissioning a watercolour as a wedding gift PM to order yours
