25.01.2022 Two photos of our parade entry at last weekend's Pako Festa. Thank you Peter Roupas for taking the one during the parade and passing it on to us. Congratulations to Lou and Florie on your organisation and thank you to all the French mums, dads, kids and other members of the French community who joined in to make it such a fun celebration of all things French (especially food!).

23.01.2022 The French Film Festival starts in Melbourne this coming week. There will be lots of wonderful films to discover at a number of venues. Anne Carne has been busy organising our monthly films for the rest of the year and she has booked four of the French Film Festival films for us: 'Fourmi' (April), 'Le Bonheur des Uns' (June), 'Les Traducteurs' (July) and 'Chambre 212' (August). This weekend we are screening 'Les Estivants' ('The Summer House') at Village Cinemas and the classic film 'Manon des Sources' on the weekend March 21-22.

14.01.2022 'Manon des Sources' (PG), 4pm on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March at the Village Cinemas, Geelong. Starring Yves Montand, Daniel Auteuil and Emmanuelle Béart. Our next classic film is 'Manon Des Sources', the sequel to 'Jean de Florette' which was screened last September. After Manon discovers that many villagers knew and kept silent about Ugolin and Papet's betrayal of her father, she sets about plotting revenge on the whole village. Watching this famous French film again in a cinema, more than three decades after its release, will be a wonderful experience.

11.01.2022 Our new venture with Village cinemas in Geelong is to screen a classic French film four times a year. This weekend you will have two opportunities to watch 'Jean de Florette' in a cinema. It's probably over 30 years since the last time you did that! This tragic tale of optimism, resilience and greed set in the beautiful landscape of Provence is always high on everyone's list of favourite French films. Come along at 4pm on Saturday Sept 14 or Sunday Sept 15 to discover or rediscover this amazing film.

At the moment our adult classes at Clonard College are still running, but we have postponed the screening of 'Manon des Sources' at Village cinemas scheduled for this weekend and we have cancelled the 'Café Conversation' sessions until further notice.
