24.01.2022 Having rain heads (Leaf Eater variety pictured along with upgrade kit) on each of your downpipes that lead to your tank can eliminate leafs and other debris that could end up inside your tank, especially if your pipes go directly inside your tank without a strainer (see earlier post). They also can stop vermin and other creatures from making their homes inside your pipes/rainwater tank. Overflow pipes should always have a screen on the end of the pipe for the same reason. If you are unsure about what you have or want to learn more we are just a phone call away - 0411864223 ~ Ryan

21.01.2022 WATER WARNING: Homeowners not connected to the town's water supply are being urged to fill up now, to prevent a repeat of last summer's water crisis. While the weekend's downpour has helped, another dry summer is predicted and there are already waiting lists for water.

20.01.2022 Strainers don’t have to be full of leaves to be blocked up. This strainer was full of broken down leaves and dirt that the water would have to run through taking tannin with it into your tank. Check your strainer regularly and give it a good scrub once in a while. Every little bit helps when it comes to water quality. ~ Ryan

18.01.2022 Every tank offers a different cleaning experience. Everyday is a new learning curve. Most importantly every tank creates different patterns in the sludge while we drain it. Something not may people get to see and it is very beautiful sometimes.

13.01.2022 When Alligator come to clean your tank, it isn’t just about the clean. We enter the rainwater tank, after emptying it, which gives us an advantage to inspect your tank structure, intake pipe/valve to your pump and the delivery pipes from your roof as well as anything else that may come up. A blocked intake pipe/valve can drastically change your water pressure in the house. Many times we have found that a old pipe has rust so bad we can only see a pinhole for the water to ...travel. When inside a tank I was able to see many rust holes inside a tin tank that we had not realised were there from the outside. (Photo attached) If you have noticed a change in water pressure and can’t find a reason it may be worth a clean just to check - 0411864223 ~Ryan

13.01.2022 A lot of the time we are working onsite or passing by after a job with a lot of companies; water delivery tankers, plumbers, roof and gutter cleaning among others. Today we had the pleasure of Weyba Water while we packed up. The tank was empty for mere minutes. Superb service as always. ~Ryan

12.01.2022 Sometimes, when left too long between a clean, poly and tin tanks can become stained. Stains won’t affect your water but can make it hard to tell the water quality when trying to look through a tank full of water. Regular cleans can, in some cases, reduce and even eliminate the stain. Depending on what methods you have in place to improve water quality (Leaf Eater Rain Heads, First Flush Systems Etc) as well as your location, the amount of trees/plants around your house and ...tanks: we like to advise having your tanks cleaned every 3-5 years. This not only keeps your tanks clean but also allows you to stay up to date with what is happening out of sight inside the tank. Concrete tanks - Cracks, holes, broken concrete falling from roof, pipes and erosion are all some of the things we check for. Poly tanks - poly trimmings from installation, cracks, dirt on roof meaning not enough overflow in storms and cracks/leaks are all some of the things we check for. Tin tanks - cracks, leaks, dents, rust and degradation of silicone along the seams are all some of the things we check for. If you have any doubts about your water quality or tanks please give us a ring - 0411864223 ~ Ryan

11.01.2022 Sometimes you find things inside a tank that you can’t quite explain. If I didn’t have pictures You wouldn’t believe me. ~Ryan

05.01.2022 How well do you know what’s in your tank? Have you had your tank cleaned in the last 5 years? Can you recall when the last time your tank was cleaned? What you can see from the top doesn’t always give you the whole picture of your tank. Alligator Water Tank Cleaning are Confined Space Accredited and enter your tank once it’s emptied (able to save 3000gallons of water in most circumstances) and ensure everything that doesn’t belong inside is removed; dirt, mud, leaves, stic...ks, rocks, broken pipe, old construction debris, old broken strainers as well as any creatures. Leaving you with a clean tank with no worries. If the water is tasting or smelling strange, comes out discoloured or you have any other worries about your water situation please give us a call - 0411864223 ~Ryan

05.01.2022 Unfortunately sometimes we come to a job and find that it’s not possible to save the water. In this case the water was too dirty and smelly to save. Luckily Weyba Water was available to put a load of town water in as soon as we finished. Thanks for the quick delivery

03.01.2022 Seeing as we have storms being predicted over the weekend we advise people to check your tank strainers. Trees nearby could drop branches, might not be as drastic as pictured, that could result in holes that allow containment’s into your tank water. If you need replacement strainers we always have some aboard, go ahead and give us a call - 0411864223. ~Ryan

03.01.2022 Sometimes we have to do a little tree trimming to be able to access the manhole of a tank. In this case you can see the tree has been giving the tank a little shade, but where it has been in full sun it has developed an algae growth. Yes, this can happen inside your tank too. ~ Ryan
