25.01.2022 It's beginning to look a lot like chaos.... Christmas is just around the corner, and along with the usual rush - we have hail damage and a deluge stretching us thinner than ever! Thanks for the understanding everyone, we're emergency bookings only until the new year.

25.01.2022 We love that there are so many ways to get in touch... Facebook, email, website query - but when time is an issue, nothing beats the phone. Give us a call (or send a text), especially if it's urgent. Otherwise, feel free to drop us a Facebook message - we'll get back to you as soon as we have a minute.

25.01.2022 It's not all fixing things and dirty roof work... we also frequently get to help with things that are just nice to look at. Just over 6 weeks until Christmas! Need something done by end of year? Book soon!

23.01.2022 Nothing like a deadline to keep you motivated! (Don't worry... the roof was back together in time). Good to see some rain over the weekend - but it's back to sunshine and back to work! From small jobs through to big ones - All Set Electrical.

23.01.2022 Putting up with awful lighting? There's always a way to fix it. Extra large downlights? No worries! All Set Electrical. #allsetelectrical #brightenup

23.01.2022 Ok, it's weatherproof... but is it weatherproof? All external electrical items carry an "IP rating". Some (like most power points) are not rated to be installed out in the open, or in pool areas. If you're unsure of what you have or are looking at - call All Set.

23.01.2022 Whoa! Did you know there are only 10 weeks until Christmas?!? Most will be happy to see 2020 go, but if there's anything you want done - better book soon! Call All Set Electrical.

21.01.2022 It's common knowledge a safety switch can save your life... but did you know that depending on what you're touching - it may not help you. RCDs are fantastic devices that cut the power when current flows through a fault to earth. However, if you're in contact with two wires at once - the path may include you and not earth. That's why you should always use a licensed electrician. Best not to risk it - call All Set Electrical!

20.01.2022 Did you know it's only 7 weeks till Christmas?!? There's still time to book in for any electrical work on your list - but time flies at this time of year so don't leave it too long! For unbeatable service, call All Set Electrical.

20.01.2022 Like with most things - if it doesn't look, feel, or act right... it probably isn't. Trust your instincts and get it checked! For any electrical issues, call All Set Electrical.

20.01.2022 We've just been to a job where a plumber got a zap from the copper water pipes. This sort of dangerous situation happens more than you think. If you've noticed "tingles" from your taps or anything else unusual - don't ignore it. Call All Set Electrical.

20.01.2022 There seems to be some confusion around the new(ish) legislation in QLD for smoke alarms. The easiest way to get around it is to look at the next introductory milestone: Houses being sold, or new leases being signed (including re-newing) from Jan 1, 2022 must comply with the new rules. This means interconnected photoelectric type smoke alarms in each bedroom as well as areas leading to bedrooms (eg hallway). There's also a requirement for one on each level- whether or not a bedroom is on each storey. Need help? All Set Electrical.

20.01.2022 Replacing a cooktop? We've had a few of these lately that haven't quite fit as intended. Cutting a bench top can be tricky and messy - and falling short is even worse. Before choosing your new cooktop, it's a good idea to measure both the face of the existing one, and the cutout in the bench (width and depth of both!). This way you can be sure that your replacement is painless, and the result outstanding. It's also worth keeping in mind that some brands advertise "generic" ...sizes (eg 60cm cooktop) - but may not actually be accurate! Check the specs to avoid disappointment Another important note is that not all cooktops are equal - some (for example, induction) use much more power which could mean upgrading a circuit! If we can help, or for more advise - contact All Set Electrical. See more

20.01.2022 No two days are the same... part of the reason we love what we do! Need an electrician? All Set!

19.01.2022 Did you know it's only 71 days until Christmas? And only 50 working days!!! If you have any pre-holiday projects you'd like done - or for any other Electrical needs - contact All Set Electrical!

19.01.2022 Happy new year! It was a great break - but we're back into it for 2019. Get in touch for all your electrical needs. From fans to switchboard upgrades... Smoke alarms to solar system faults.... Renos, installations and alterations. ... As always, you're All Set. See more

18.01.2022 It's coming around to that time of year when it gets hot in the house (and unbelievably hot in the roof!). Lucky we're all about our customers - not our comfort! For all your ceiling fan needs... All Set Electrical.

18.01.2022 Got to love a big Spyda on the ceiling! This fan is seriously popular, and for good reason. If you're considering replacements or new fans, we know our stuff. Talk to All Set Electrical.

18.01.2022 Not-so fun fact: Every replacement, new or relocated hot water system now needs an isolator installed beside it, and the circuit must then be protected by safety switch. ...You don't need to know these things - because we do. Just call All Set Electrical.

18.01.2022 Just a quick thanks to everyone for their understanding and patience while we get on top of a crazy 2 weeks ... One of our guys welcomed a new baby into the family and we've been swamped! We're working hard to be back to normal next week for all your electrical needs. Feel free to get in touch whenever you'd like to make a booking. Thanks!

18.01.2022 With all that's going on... Did you remember to test your smoke alarms on April 1st? While you're at it, we highly recommend testing your RCDs (safety switches), and checking your flexi-hoses for corrosion/swelling. These simple checks will keep you, your family, and your property safe.

18.01.2022 We'd like to wish all of our clients and friends a very merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year! Here's to a wonderful 2020!

18.01.2022 Got a second? Do yourself a favour... press this (safety switches), push this (smoke alarms) and check these (flexi-pipes)! It could save your life, a disaster, or at least an insurance claim! Call All Set Electrical if anything goes wrong... except the flexi-pipes. You'll need a plumber for that.

18.01.2022 Room with a view! So many spend good money on some of the free job perks we enjoy daily... fitness club, endurance training, sauna, escape room... and that's just in the roof!

17.01.2022 We're sure everyone is looking forward to the break as much as we are... but if you need an electrician - here's our schedule. Happy Easter to all!

17.01.2022 We hope everyone has enjoyed the Australia Day long weekend as much as we have! Good luck to all the kids (and parents and teachers!) starting or going back to school tomorrow! All the best from the team at All Set Electrical.

17.01.2022 No doubt everyone has a million things on their plate with Christmas just around the corner. Take a moment and do yourself a favour - test your safety switch/es. It only takes a second to push the test button, and could save you an emergency call out over the holidays if something trips it and it's faulty. And of course finding out it's faulty now could save someone you love. Test it regularly. Call All Set Electrical if it doesn't trip or won't reset.

17.01.2022 Fair to say we're in unprecedented crazy times. We just wanted to let everyone know that while we're doing our bit to take precautions, it's business as usual (as much as possible). If any further business restrictions are implemented we'll re-assess and update - but for now we're still available for all your electrical needs. Likewise, we'll be supporting every business we can (suppliers, stores, cafes etc). We're all in this together. All Set Electrical.

17.01.2022 Can you spot the hidden danger in this switchboard? The tangled cables? The asbestos board? - No, the biggest immediate threat is the connector on the live cable. Someone has hooked it on the bolt coming through the board. That bolt is now live with no protection except the street fuse. We deal with too many messes from idiots attempting electrical work. Don't risk it (and us) - always use a licenced electrical contractor! Call All Set Electrical.

16.01.2022 What a difference a little LED can make! A new blue LED rope light, upgrading the kitchen under cabinet halogens, and installing a simple LED down light in a built in storage display. Looks a million bucks! (Didn't cost it though). Thanks Mike for choosing All Set Electrical.

16.01.2022 We've seen way too many of these fail lately to not mention it (again). Please test your safety switches! Just push the "test" button, then reset - simple. If it doesn't trip or reset, call us. It's better finding out before you need it. #allsetelectrical #safety

16.01.2022 Client: Can you do anything with these huge old lights? They're really high on a curved ceiling. All Set: Hold my beer.* (*there was no beer)

16.01.2022 Looked up lately? Most people know that new rules have been introduced for smoke alarms in Queensland. Many, however, don't know what they are or when you must comply by. Basically, they must be photoelectric type, 240v hardwired (or 10yr lithium battery powered if that's not possible), and interconnected. ... As for location: One in every bedroom. One in hallways or areas leading to bedrooms, and at least one per level of the house. When to fully comply? If you're building or renovating: NOW If you're selling, leasing, or renewing a lease: From January 1st, 2022. If you own your home: January 1st, 2027. Smoke alarms must be replaced every 10 years anyway - so we're getting quite a few clients updating now... which is fantastic. Give All Set Electrical a call for a solution to get you protected and new rules compliant.

16.01.2022 February already!?! We've been insanely busy so far this year with all sorts of things (yes, that is a decaying snake behind a power point). We appreciate everyone's patience - we're seeing some light in the tunnel and are still taking bookings on an urgency/priority basis. All the best, All Set Electrical. #busybusybusy #allsetelectrical

16.01.2022 Ever seen a fan cry so hard it's makeup runs? We have. But then we've seen it all. Contact All Set Electrical for all your electrical needs (not just crying appliances).

16.01.2022 We always knew it was there, but it's nice to see your halo every now and then. #allsetelectrical #elegent

16.01.2022 It's beginning to look a lot like chaos.... Christmas is just around the corner, and along with the usual rush - we have hail damage and a deluge stretching us thinner than ever! Thanks for the understanding everyone, we're emergency bookings only until the new year.

16.01.2022 We've done stacks of emergency and repair jobs for insurance companies where home flooding was caused by burst braided flexi hoses under the sink. Whilst it's not an electrical problem - it can cause one (amongst lots of other damage!). So if you have these under your sink in the kitchen or bathrooms, we urge you to check them periodically (and right now!) for any signs of wear, rust, or swelling. Change them or call a plumber if anything looks wrong. And call us for anything electrical! ;-)

15.01.2022 Well hey there good looking. #allsetelectrical #paradise

14.01.2022 Do you have any power points around the house that feel "springy"? The plugs are hard to push in, or seem to push back out? This is caused by the backing plate cracking (as pictured). Eventually, the whole plate can snap off, leaving you with a broken, live mess in your wall. Don't wait for things to fall apart - call All Set Electrical.

14.01.2022 What's worse than rain getting in your roof? Hail getting in. Storm season has kicked off early. We'll always prioritise emergency work, so please bear with us if things get mucked around. #allsetelectrical #hail

11.01.2022 Not everyone is great at their job. (This tile cutout was a long way off fitting a power point... along with the 3 others). Fortunately, we've been around a while and seen it all - there's nothing like experiencing some of the worst to make you the best! We find a way... We're All Set Electrical.

11.01.2022 Whoa! Did you know there are only 10 weeks until Christmas?!? Most will be happy to see 2020 go, but if there's anything you want done - better book soon! Call All Set Electrical.

11.01.2022 Do your smoke alarms look like this? Chances are they're out of date! Smoke alarms only have a service life of 10 years, then they must be replaced. Manufactured date should be stamped on them if you're unsure. You may also be aware that new rules have been rolled in requiring, among other things, one in every bedroom. Unless you're selling, leasing or renovating you have until 2027 to comply. Get safe and compliant - Call All Set Electrical!

11.01.2022 Views like this make early mornings worth it! What's not to love about working in your own backyard? For all things Electrical in Pacific Pines (or anywhere on the Gold Coast) - call All Set Electrical.

11.01.2022 Just a sneak peak of a major renovation we've been working on in Sovereign Island.... love these stair lights!

11.01.2022 Every now and then we get called out to some pretty remote (and beautiful!) places. We're truly lucky to be surrounded by so much stunning nature - but also lucky when a job doesn't require a road trip! Give All Set a call for all your (local) electrical needs!

11.01.2022 The new Australian Wiring Rules are out (AS/NZS 3000), which is pretty much the Electricians Bible. There are quite a few changes to the rules, including some important ones regarding safety switches in all homes. We'll always do everything "by the book" (THIS book) - which is why we're busy studying all 611 pages! Just one more reason you know you're All Set.

10.01.2022 Whether you're renovating, repairing, upgrading, adding or just updating... All Set Electrical has you covered.

09.01.2022 The water damage was bad enough... however the fan falling from the ceiling certainly added to the surprise! There's a right way to do things (attaching a ceiling fan to the plaster only isn't one of them) - and as they often say: "You get what you pay for". We see dodgy and dangerous work all the time. If you need electrical work done, and want reliable, knowledgeable electricians who will do it right at reasonable rates, call All Set Electrical.

08.01.2022 That's it for 2020! We're available for emergencies only (after hours charges apply) - any enquiries or general bookings we'll get to after until Jan 11. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all!

07.01.2022 Just wanted to take a moment to thank each and every person who has reviewed or recommended us - whether it's in person or through Facebook, your support means the world to us! So, thanks! You're awesome.

07.01.2022 It would be nice if we were the only ones in the roof... At least this one had shed it's skin and (as far as we saw) moved on. Still, crawling through the roof is part of what we do - so if there's anything we can do for you (besides snake removal), give All Set Electrical a call!

07.01.2022 Thanks to everyone for the patience over the last several weeks while we've been (extremely) busy dealing with things like this! We're back to business as usual, so please get in touch if there's anything All Set Electrical can do for you!

07.01.2022 Do you want to know what looks better than black on black? Us too. A small change can make a big impact. Talk to your local All Set colour consultant.

07.01.2022 Variety is the spice of life! Last week's adventures included repairing some underground cables at our local shopping centre carpark, and installing an additional oven circuit in a two-storey house (much more difficult than it sounds)! Naturally, with great results on these jobs - that's two more new clients who are All Set.

06.01.2022 We'd prefer it just didn't happen, to be chewful (*sorry). But whether it's act of dog, rat or even cockatoo (yes - it happens); you can count on All Set Electrical to get you fixed up.

05.01.2022 "Does this look like it needs replacing?" ..... uh... I would, yes. Seriously! - any more like this; please get in touch. Let's get you sorted before Christmas! Call All Set Electrical.

05.01.2022 Are your switches and outlets letting your place down? Discoloured plates can seriously impact the overall appearance of an interior. Unfortunately, some plates are more affected than others, which can come down to brand, batch, age, exposure to heat or sun etc.... The solution? Change cover plates (the most obvious); or update to a different brand, style or colour. Either way, All Set Electrical can help!

05.01.2022 It's not all fixing things and dirty roof work... we also frequently get to help with things that are just nice to look at. Just over 6 weeks until Christmas! Need something done by end of year? Book soon!

05.01.2022 To all our clients, friends and wonderful community - we hope everyone has had an amazing Christmas! Enjoy the holidays if you have them. We're on call for emergencies until Monday 7th when it's business as usual. Stay safe, and thanks to everyone for the support in 2018!!

05.01.2022 If anyone knows why someone would do this to a perfectly good wall, please let us know. Contact All Set Electrical for anything you want done by electricians that actually care.

05.01.2022 We are fast running out of year! There are less than three working weeks left , so if there's anything you need done before Christmas - please get in touch asap to avoid disappointment.

04.01.2022 Did you know... whenever you switch on a ceiling fan you should do so starting at high speed (usually clockwise)? This takes the strain off the motor during start up and prolongs the life of your fan. If you've noticed your fans slowing down, certain speeds not working, or just not working altogether - it might be time to call All Set Electrical!

04.01.2022 You may not have heard much from us lately - we've been beyond busy (what else is new?). But you can always get in touch... All Set Electrical knows all the hot spots.

04.01.2022 Thinking about new or replacement fans? Why not consider plastic? ABS moulded blades are lighter, corrosion-free, and perfectly balanced. This means less motor strain, less chance of wobble, and more air movement. They're available in different designs & colours, and can now even include colour changing, dimmable LEDs! ... At least All Set Electrical is an easy choice!

04.01.2022 We've said before that loose switches are dangerous. Today we went to a job where a switch had caught fire in the middle of the night! The offending one hadn't even been visibly faulty. This family is so lucky to have been woken by the smoke. If you have ANY concerns about your switches or power points please call All Set Electrical.

04.01.2022 With the silly season over, we look forward to working with everyone again in 2020. Chad's taking a break after handling the emergency call outs over Christmas, but will be back on January 21st. In the meantime, please contact Dave on 0417446734. Happy new year everyone!

04.01.2022 When it rains, it pours! A quick thanks to everyone for the continued support... and patience! We're busy as ever and doing our best to juggle everything to fit in emergencies and work in with everyone's preferred bookings. So thanks for the understanding; particularly when we might be a little slower than usual in returning calls and messages! - The All Set team.

04.01.2022 Expertise and price aren't the only things that make a good tradesman (although they're important!). Good manner, friendliness, tidiness, and of course; punctuality set apart the bad, the good, and the great. Just saying. All Set Electrical.

03.01.2022 We'd like to officially welcome Dan to the All Set team! It's great to have him on board, helping us and all our valued clients. If you see him around - say "hi!"... Likely to be the nicest guy you meet that day.

03.01.2022 It's absolutely unbelievable the things we find day to day. This old switchboard had live cables hanging out - from who knows when. No safety switch. Fortunately no one was hurt (we've now made it safe). Don't get complacent. Don't assume it's safe. Call All Set.

03.01.2022 Did you remember to change your smoke alarm batteries on April 1st? It seems like this year is flying past - but it's important to do this once a year, along with testing your safety switches (and we thoroughly recommend checking your sink flexi-hoses!). Need help? As always, call All Set Electrical. #allsetelectrical #remember

03.01.2022 Sometimes it's nice being the smartest one in the room (even if you're alone in a roof). Fans have weight... they need proper support (loose timber in a ceiling doesn't cut it). Every job is worth doing right. All Set Electrical. #allsetelectrical

02.01.2022 It's official. Now we've seen it all. In a classic "while you're here" job, we were asked to take a look at a problem that literally had a band aid on it. Needless to say, it's all fixed up now... because that's what we do at All Set.

02.01.2022 You may have heard... Australia is banning halogen lamps as of 2020. There are some good reasons to change to LED (if you haven't already): They use far less electricity to achieve the same output, run much cooler, and in many cases last longer. For a simple changeover or a total lighting transformation - call All Set Electrical.

02.01.2022 Thanks to everyone for the support in 2019! This Friday (20th) is our final day for scheduled work for the year - back on deck January 6th. We're available for emergencies only over the holidays.

02.01.2022 Do you know the difference between a safety switch and a circuit breaker or fuse? In short, a circuit breaker/fuse is designed to protect the cables within your home from overheating, while a safety switch is designed to protect the occupants of your home from electric shock. Safety switches should be tested every 3 months to ensure they are working correctly. To test, simply press the test button located on the front of the safety switch - if it doesn't turn off or won't turn back on, it's faulty. If you would like a free quote or even some advice on your home’s electrical safety then give All Set Electrical a call.

01.01.2022 We've helped get many homes compliant already... but it helps to know when they must be done by! The new(ish) rules require smoke alarms in every bedroom, hallways leading to bedrooms and on every storey. They must also be photoelectric type and interconnected. There are options for every home - talk to All Set.

01.01.2022 It doesn't take long with this type of weather for your solar panels to build up a layer of dirt. And even a small build up can start to affect your system's production. (Pictured is before and after a hose!) If you do have panels, it's worth checking them from time to time (the inverter display too!) - to make sure your investment is still working for you. Keeping the panels clean can really help - so if we can help you with this, or a solar checkup... give All Set Electrical a call.

01.01.2022 Sometimes it's nice being the smartest one in the room (even if you're alone in a roof). Fans have weight... they need proper support (loose timber in a ceiling doesn't cut it). Every job is worth doing right. All Set Electrical. #allsetelectrical

01.01.2022 The solar boom has been around for some time now, and we're seeing problems spring up very frequently. Dead inverters, earth faults, melted cables and connectors - even this rare hail-smashed panel! Keep an eye on your inverter to make sure it's producing correctly with no fault lights. If you have concerns, call All Set Electrical.
