25.01.2022 @aliciagowans_wbffpro @wbffentertainment @ehplabs_ausnz . @aliciagowans_wbffpro BODY UPDATE: This is where I’m at right now...I’m at the start of a photo shoot prep and so I though I’d share my journey with you all . Lately I’ve been working on some really exciting goals that have seen the direction of my physical appearance and my training and nutrition protocols pivot.... . Over the past few weeks I’ve had to focus on softening up and refrain from looking as full as I normally do. And whilst it’s been a mental shift, we all know I am not one to shy away from a challenge! . So what have I been doing? . Well I haven’t been training nearly as much and I’ve had to adjust food to manipulate how full my muscles appear. That obviously means putting other goals on a temporary hold but it’s all been worth it, as the new opportunity I’ve landed is taking me in a completely new direction and I’m beyond excited about it! . We all know 2020 has not seen me share my typical prep process or progress - with so many ups and downs and stops and starts. I joked with an industry peer on sat that I was on a Constant deficit-maintenance roller coaster ride this year. And I have not really pushed myself to my peak, unlike the last 7 years. . That in itself feels a little strange to be honest, but I’ve also utterly enjoyed my new found balance and my increased day to day flexibility . So whilst I won’t be chasing my stage condition (because who the fuck wants to cut out life and festive celebrations with loved ones, when you don’t have an actual stage??), I will be sharing my journey as I prep for an upcoming photo shoot. . I am going to share this with you all as I go and hope to possibly change some perceptions on how it should be done along the way. . Step count: 15k Current training: 4-5 days a week. Current food: conservative deficit. Cardio: Currently training for the Kyrgios cup which includes a little bit of ultimate frisbee, running, touch footy, soccer & bowling . Stay tuned! See more

Those 48 hours between Friday and Monday are a brief, magical period where just about anything goes...... . Some people find joy in the lack of structure, lounging around or binge watching an entire TV series on Netflix, whereas others enjoy getting out and about, spending time with loved ones and squeezing the most out of every minute. . I know for me and Ally, we find ourselves at the latter end of the spectrum...staying active, being outdoors, experiencing nature and enjoying the sunshine are some of the things that re-energise us for the week ahead. . It is all too common to spend most of our weekdays inside and in front of a computer screen. So use the weekends to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air. . I have found that my happiness is often proportional to the amount of time I spend outside . I am not someone that has had a flat stomach my whole life or someone that can eat whatever without gaining We all have a friend like that One key thing I have learned over these years. ... NO ONE CAN DO IT FOR YOU You can spend thousands on a coach, hundreds on supplements, read everything possible online or watch a tonne of motivational youtube videos But nothing works unless you WORK Sometimes you just have to get to to the point of being fed up of your excuses, telling yourself you'll start after your friend's party, on Monday or next year It has happened to me a few times on my journey so I know the feeling. Or sometimes it's just that you are tired of feeling uncomfortable in your clothes, tired all the time, having a sore back from lack of core strength, your skin breaking out from the food you're having daily.. the list goes on What are you continuously telling yourself each day? Your body hears what your mind thinks. If you continue to say "I can't lose weight," "I can't do XYZ" in anything in life, you never will because you don't believe you can But I am here to tell you that YOU CAN! If you don't believe in you, I SURE DO! It won't be easy. It will be worth it Write your goals down. Write WHY you want to achieve them. Visualise how you will feel in 100 days ending 2020. The biggest obstacle Im experiencing right now is working out from home instead of the gym and not having a specific goal to work toward. ... Having a generic goal (such as build more muscle) doesnt keep me aligned to getting up at 6 am when my alarm goes off , pushing that extra bit when Im tired at the end of the day and dont want to finish my cardio or turning down the glass of wine on Saturday night. 09.01.2022 @kaylamae0290 ready to kick off our challenge . @kaylamae0290 Remember how I mentioned a few posts back that our bodys nutrient needs change with the seasons? Well if we listen close enough our body will give us hints by the difference in foods it craves... Im not talking about craving pumpkin lattes and stacks of cider donuts Although I do enjoy a warm vanilla latte and a cider donut or two during the season. Im more talking about how in the summer some of us tend to crave sweet, cool, refreshing foods like smoothies/watermelon and other juicy fruits, fresh salads In the cooler months we then tend to move towards hearty soups/chilis and such This is partially because in the summer our bodies are naturally looking for foods that replenish the minerals and nutrients what wed be sweating out in those warmer months And in the colder months we tend to crave foods that warm us up from the inside, not only in temperature but ingredients wise as well! Many of the spices used in things like bone broths, chilis, and soups are known for encouraging the blood to flow strong despite the chilling temps. Seem to be levelling at maintenance weight now on around 600 cals up per day on daily average (gradually increasing 150 cals per day each week to now). It can lead to falling into a depressive state of self loathing and self hatred.... . But why? . Who was it who rejected you? A potential boss for a new job. A tinder date who just ghosts you. An estate agent who turned down your offer on a house. . Whatever the rejection is, it forces you to re-evaluate your situation & adapt. The initial thing that you wanted, might not be the best thing for you anyway!! That job couldnt have meant missing out on the next one that is better suited to you. That tinder date probably was after the one night stand that they didnt get #standards The house prices might drop & then you can afford something better. . 04.01.2022 @thenomadhustle putting in the work! @wbffentertainment . @thenomadhustle mindset change is a must . If youre trying to change your lifestyle.... . The first step in any diet/lifestyle change is acknowledging that your current habits are not giving you the life, the look, the energy and the self love you want. . To make a success at your diet you not only want to lose body fat but you dont want to gain it back. So creating healthier habits and making sustainable changes is the key. . Here are a few way to change your mindset around lifestyle . Ditch the excuses- the first 10 minutes of your day set the tone for that day. Wake up with a can do, shit yeah attitude! . Create an appropriate goal and a timeline. It isnt a race it is a sustainable change. So before you start give your goal a healthy initial timeline. Then allow yourself time to make the changes you need to, one step at a time. . Manage your expectations and be kind to yourself- the process isnt linear. Every week you wont lose weight or gain muscle but every week you should make progress in some way. Better form, accurate tempo and rest, more weight lifted, more sets or reps. Acknowledge these small wins and dont get discouraged. . Create your own daily rituals and habits- they will help you stay on track and give you structure each day and confidence when your not feeling 100. . Leave intimidation behind- Everyone was once a beginner. Plan your workout ahead of time, know what your doing and how to do it. You tube is a great resource and so are the staff in the gym . Do you still do in-person training? No I dont And here's why: Because my mission is to help women become confident, fit, healthy & independent in their own fitness journeys To know REAL health is & how to maintain it themselves And I just cant get all of that into 1 hour with you ladies Real health is the beautiful balance of physical, mental & metaphysical Youd be surprised how many in-person training days were spent doing low intensity work while clients talked, vented, processed their mental & emotional problems Its interesting how close-tied physical ailments are to our emotional/mental ones And lets not forget the nutrition part! We know how important macro & micronutrients Its important that this part of your journey gets the proper attention But that doesnt get covered in the fees paid for that 1 hour of training either And most gym trainers won't do them Lets not forget how long it can take getting to goals with an in-person trainer Session expenses can add up quick & people tend to space them out Which is maybe another reason why the progress pics can be more than discouraging sometimes And now theres Covid....and understandably no one wants to go out in public So I moved to online training in order to help women in all the areas I couldnt when in person Then I stepped it up even further and created my AT HOME Jumpstart Your Fitness program!! So now instead of the gym where youd: Pay for membership fees Pay for trainer fees Try to figure out your own nutrition plan Get looks from the creepy old guys Have to sanitize your hands every 2 minutes & wear a mask Possibly take a LONG time to see progress You Could: Stay at home Pay ONE fee for all your exercise and food plans Take the worry & guesswork out of what to eat Only get glares from your cat Take one cozy bubble bath afterwards Still meet your heahealth & fitness goals Shoot me a DM, or comment be
