20.01.2022 On this first Sunday of Advent, we lean into the hope we have in Jesus. Try for a moment to forget that we know the end of the story, and put yourself in the place of the people who were waiting on the prophesied promise. "For out of Zion shall go forth instruction,... and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between the nations, and shall arbitrate for many peoples; they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore."

16.01.2022 Whenever and however we suffer in this life we are reminded of the suffering that Jesus went through to accomplish all that He did. Our moments of pain unite us with a grander story, that though pain comes in the night - joy comes in the morning. That just as Jesus rose again after His sufferings - so will you.... Whoever you are, take heart when you experience trials of all sorts - because your trials are woven into the fabric of God's purposes. Nothing is wasted in Him, and He is not ashamed to call you friend.
