21.01.2022 And that is a wrap! Term 1 done and dusted all thanks and praises to our Heavenly Father It has been a long couple of weeks with our babies aka the heart of this academy and it was only fitting that we celebrate their hard work and efforts with family and friends Last nights awards night was another testament of why we love what we do and the passion behind it. Being proud is an understatement! ... We were reminded GO BIG OR GO HOME! Everything is done from the heart. Thank you to our juniors vasega for all your hard work. We will see you in 3 weeks Aua le ma e ta’u atu o oe o le SAMOA #cheeehooo
20.01.2022 Songs written by our past ancestors, still sung by our future generations Our junior groups always up for a challenge when learning different things during classes even if this means learning a Samoa song despite the struggle to pronounce the words correctly. We are learning and growing ... #samoa #sivasamoa
20.01.2022 How grateful are we to have some of our Senior Tausala girls still wanting to embrace our siva Samoa Thank you for being patient with us! Hope you guys seen your brain when you guys roll your eyes back every time we say DO IT AGAIN #iykyk We appreciate you all ... #sivasamoa #samoa
17.01.2022 Lota Nu’u - MY COUNTRY Despite what has been happening in Samoa with politics, we always remind our students that Samoa is longing for them and hopefully one day they can return to where it all started and the humble beginnings No other song was more fitting to end our awards night with than the famous Samoa song sung after a Samoa event Lota Nu’u ... I hope our ancestors past and living are proud that their offsprings are keeping our beautiful culture, traditions and songs alive to this very day #685 #Samoa

10.01.2022 A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots Thank you Woodcrest College for allowing us to celebrate our Samoa culture with you. You guys were amazing to educate! Massive fa’amalo and Fa’afetai to @linafaamate for hosting this day. We need more of our people to do what you do and be passionate about keeping our culture alive ... It is not important to just celebrate Samoa during their successes but to live and be all about it everyday! Our actions and thoughts depicts who we are and how we were raised. It is never to late to study and educate yourselves about our Samoa culture and traditions. "Poupou le lotoifale, ola manuia le anofale" "Strengthen the posts of your house, for all to thrive." #samoa

01.01.2022 Our Gagana Fa’asamoa - MY IDENTITY During the duration of Term 1, our juniors vasega were given words and sentences that they would need to go home, study and use when conversing with their elderly members, families and friends. Tonight we held a suega night where we tested their knowledge individually and had a normal conversation with them in Samoa using the words given.... Nerves were seen on their faces as they walked through the doors and big smiles as they walked out of the door after their suega with treats in their hands screaming out I PASSED we are here for these successes!!! It has been a long 15 weeks but we can’t wait for next term Blessed are we to serve our next generation these are some of our junior students celebrating our gagana fa’asamoa Thank you God for our language. It is a way that no matter where i reside, i will be identified as a Samoa, the place I call home Credits to @taleni_a_jenny for sharing the Gagana - Language post
