17.01.2022 Dear Alpha Community, Just before we settle back in to Greek School at Edithvale Primary School, we would kindly like to remind our Alpha Family of the extra precautions we must take in order to be COVIDSafe. Please bear in mind to all our parents & students returning to school, things may look a little different. A COVIDSafe Plan has been put into place to prevent the virus from spreading.... 1. Please enter through the school premises via French Avenue. Our assemblies will be held outdoors. This is so our new parents can stay with our little Alpha students if they are a little nervous. 2. We kindly ask parents to avoid entering inside the school unless they have to. If so, parents MUST Scan the QR Code and follow the prompts. These records will help with any future contact tracing to slow down the spread. 3. Every adult & secondary student (12 years of age & over) must have their own mask on them at all times. Teachers may take off masks when they are teaching but must keep their distance from students. Remember, we must all keep 1.5m away from other one another. 4. All classrooms will be thoroughly cleaned prior to classes commencing and when classes finish. There will be hand sanitisers available in each classroom. 5. Although we always encourage sharing our stationary with one another in previous years, unfortunately due to our current circumstances, all children must bring and use their own stationary. 6.There will be no canteen for the time being, until restrictions ease again. Please remember, if any of our Alpha Community members are feeling unwell or have a sore throat, cough or running nose, we advise to stay at home and get tested if need be. We would also like to take the time to thank the staff at Edithvale Primary School for allowing us to share their space. 13.01.2022 From 7am tomorrow, Monday 8 February, to 6pm Wednesday 31 March 2021, Station Street will be closed to traffic, in both directions, between Edithvale Road and F...raser Avenue to undertake important works. Detours will be in place via Berry Avenue and Munro streets during this time. As difficult as this will be for anyone living or travelling through the area, once this work is completed, the light at the end of the tunnel is that it won’t be long before we have 5 level crossings gone for good, 3 brand new stations and a new Mordialloc Freeway and all by the end of this year.
