24.01.2022 Dear Students, Parents, Guardians, Carers, Families and Colleagues, This applies to schools and families enrolled to attend Alpine and Gnurad-Gundidj campuses in term 2. We are receiving enquiries about the impact of Covid-19 on the potential operation of our programs in term 2. Of course, the health and wellbeing of students and staff is our number one concern. ... The Department of Education is taking advice from the Victorian Chief Health Officer regarding the operation of schools during the Covid-19 Pandemic. While no changes have been announced for Victorian government schools to the term 2 program apart from an additional non-student day on 15 April, strong advice has been provided for schools to prepare for a possible transition to home and remote learning. We will provide advice on any changes to the program, potential delays to opening, or postponements as soon as we have a definite decision. As with all Government Schools we are preparing for the prospect of remote learning, and will endeavour to continue to build the leadership potential of young people in Victoria regardless of our mode of operation. 22.01.2022 Expo 2 has started for Hotham!

22.01.2022 Tabletop had a go at Bridge Building, we had to do it at school as we are catching up on a class we missed due to the lockdown. Some great skills and teamwork were demonstrated.

22.01.2022 Bus update#5: We should be arriving at Braybrook College at 3pm. In an attempt to stagger the number of students getting off the bus, the plan is for Bannockburn and Manor Lakes students to get off first, then Footscray and Rosehill, then lastly, the Braybrook crew. Thanks for your patience everyone, and your support in terms of keeping some element of social distancing!

22.01.2022 Well there may not be much snow but you make the most of what you have. Loch and Hotham had their first lesson at Biathlon Hut today in glorious sunshine.

10.01.2022 Loch (Bairnsdale and Tyrrell) have enjoyed a glorious couple of days, firstly out on Expo Skills, then Bridge Building. Not a bad way to celebrate Mr Ashtons birthday! Now bring on the snow for our first expo in Week 4! :) P.S. Its taken me four attempts to share this - oh the joys of internet - so I really hope it works this time! ;) P.P.S. Thoughts are with the metro crew that couldnt join us this term due to the lockdown - fingers crossed we see you next term!

07.01.2022 Alpine School Staff spent the day at Derricks Hut today, giving it some tender loving care. We all gave something back to our beautiful classroom. And we had a nice lunch too. You might find new dunny roll holders in the long drop. New wood store in the hut and plenty of firewood and a new broom and dustpan!

05.01.2022 It is said that all journeys begin with a single step and, yesterday, our Term 3 students began theirs with our Teams Day. Always a good chance to see what our groups need to do to become a team.

02.01.2022 Presentation of certificates. The Term 1 crew is leaving a bit early due to all schools closing. So we had a quick presentation ceremony this afternoon. They will be bussed home tomorrow morning. Hard news to take but the students have had an amazing experience and demonstrating some of their new skills with the resilience they are showing. Well done to all of them. We wish you all the best in these uncertain times. Stay safe.
