19.01.2022 One early childhood centre told us that when children arrive to start attending their centre, they observe things about children who have been to mainly music. ...The children know how to answer questions at mat time. They are more confident in a group setting. Oftentimes, they know children at the centre already because they have socialised with them at a mainly music session. And when music time happens at the centre, they're the ones who come fastest to participate! It's worth attending mainly music or mainly play. At mainly music you'll enjoy 30 minutes of music and musical activity. At mainly play, you'll participate in a 30-minute joy-filled session of story, activity and song. Both are followed by a snack and play, along with time for grown-ups to enjoy chatting to others from the neighbourhood. And then, when a number of children have finished, the toys come out. Unstructured play has just as much learning embedded in it. Children socialise and learn to play alongside and with each other. 04.01.2022 Good news!! Alstonville mainly music resumes in the Alstonville Uniting Church hall on Friday 5 February 2021. Come along for a fun program commencing at 10.00am with a 1/2hr structured music session for parents/carers and children to participate in together, then morning tea provided, playtime for the children, and social connection time for adults - an opportunity to meet new friends and network with other young families.... We've introduced some necessary Covid-safe modifications to activities. Please BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLES. $5 per family payable on the day - no upfront term fees New families with children 0-5 years welcome.
