25.01.2022 Safe roads save lives. That’s why you’ll see more flexible barriers on our roads. Flexible barriers prevent vehicles from leaving their lane by stretching to catch the vehicle and absorbing the impact forces.

16.01.2022 L and P plates L and P plates must be displayed on the exterior of cars. Police have reported that too many young drivers have been caught hiding their L and P plates in obscure positions on dashboards or tucked in behind number plates. If this is something you do, as a leaner or provisional driver, you may earn yourself 2 demerit points and a hefty fine. It's important that other drivers can identify inexperienced drivers on the road. If you're towing a trailer, a P plate must be on the back of the trailer.

16.01.2022 Just a reminder, school zones are in operation around schools.

16.01.2022 Please take care.

10.01.2022 We’re all pedestrians at some point in our day. Unlike people in cars, pedestrians aren’t protected by seatbelts, airbags and metal. So always remember to keep ...an eye out for pedestrians any time of the day or night. Last year, 9 pedestrians were killed and 213 were injured on low speed country roads. #RuralRoadSafetyMonth

10.01.2022 The faster you travel, the less time you have to react to the unexpected and avoid a crash. If you do crash, the faster you’re travelling, the more severe the crash outcome for you, your passengers and other people on the road. Please slow down.

03.01.2022 If you’re driving, always keep an eye out for pedestrians and if you’re out walking, stay alert, use available crossings and obey traffic signals. Travelling at lower speeds improves a driver's ability to stop and avoid crashes, especially in areas of high pedestrian activity.

When you see stopped emergency vehicles, tow trucks or breakdown assistance vehicles displaying flashi...ng lights, remember to slow down safely and move over to give them space in speed zones of 90km/h or more. In speed zones of 80km/h or less, slow down to 40km/h. Find out more: http://bit.ly/slowdowngivespace
