06.01.2022 QUEENSLAND-FIRST PRISON PEACE PROGRAM DRAWS GLOBAL EDUCATOR Wolston Correctional Centre is the States first correctional centre to facilitate a Peace Educatio...n Program founded by US-based The Prem Rawat Foundation TPRF who personally visited the facility last week to speak with prisoners experiencing the program. The Peace Education Program is part of the Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) Violence Prevention Strategy, developed in 2016. Prem Rawats teachings encourage prisoners to discover their inner hope, choice, strength, contentment and dignity, and to understand the possibility of personal peace, in order to aid their rehabilitation. 55 prisoners at Wolston participate in the program each week, with positive outcomes reported by staff members.
