22.01.2022 HOSTILE ACTION ON THE ARMENIAN BORDER With great sorrow we have come to learn about a renewed Azeri agression against Armenia. The Armenian Missionary Associa...tion of America strongly condemns this recent anti-Armenian assault of Azerbaijan, which has for decades been demonstrated in different manifestations to the whole world. We call upon the civilized world to strongly condemn the recent military attack against Armenia and to hold accountable the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan, led by President Ilham Aliyev. We are heartbroken to learn about the martyrdom of Garush Hambardzumyan, Sos Elbakyan, Smbat Gabrielyan, and Grisha Matosyan, four lion-hearted soldiers of the Armenian Army, as a result of Azerbaijani fire power. We extend our sincere condolences to the families of our martyred heroes whose names and memory will remain immortalized in the history books of the nation, as the gallant defenders of the Homeland. We pray to God Almighty for a lasting peace in the region founded on principles of justice and a commitment to non-aggressive resolution to the conflict. 20.01.2022 WHEN YOU BECOME A CHILD SPONSOR The impact of COVID-19 continues to affect the children and families who are part of AMAA’s Orphan and Childcare programs in Armenia and Artsakh. As COVID-19 related restrictions and closures continue, impoverished families feel even more marginalized and in need. With your help, we need them to know that there is HOPE! For as little as $25 per month you can lift a child up and show God’s love. Sponsored children and their families are supplied... with necessary provisions, such as food, clothing, personal hygiene items, school supplies, and bibles. ---------------------------------------- THANK YOU LETTER FROM A CHILD TO SPONSOR "I’m greeting you warmly. I want to write about the changes in my daily life because of the situation in our country. The worst is that we can’t go out, attend school or Sunday school. We have classes on computer and we have much free time. We try to have an interesting time. I do my morning exercises in the morning. Then I have breakfast and help my mother at home. I do handmade works, paint and dance with my younger sister. My mother likes singing spiritual songs and we sometimes join her. In a word we’re not bored at home. We always follow the news by TV to know the situation in the country. This horrible virus took many lives. I’m scared but I pray God that everything will pass and everything will be all right. I know that if we believe with all our heart and ask God He’ll hear and help us surely. Dear friend, your assistance is a great present both for us and for our parents in this hard situation and we can care for some of our needs. We’re very thankful to you for it. May God always watch over you and your family!" -AMAA SPONSORED CHILD ---------------------------------------- TO SPONSOR A CHILD OR DONATE TODAY please visit https://amaaust.org.au/ See more

13.01.2022 Artsakh Diary 9: Like most children, she must have had a carefree childhood. This is how everyone knew little Carolina at AMAA's Janbazian Kindergarten in Marta...kert, #Artsakh. Happy, smiling and active, she spread love and warmth around and passed her joy to everyone who entered the kindergarten. But the war The war left its mark on Carolina's life. Carolina's joy and vigor faded as her young life faded. For days this little girl was waiting for her father. She wanted to hug him, and the waiting became more and more painful. With envy and longing, Carolina looked at her peers, whose fathers came in through the door and hugged their children. Unfortunately, the pain of waiting deepened and her smiling eyes faded, and the once cheerful little girl grew all of a sudden and became serious. Childhood was blurred and lost in the clutches of war. Keep living little girl the way your hero father would like you to live. You are a brave child of Artsakh and you will live with God's blessings. 09.01.2022 LEBANON: A cry for Peace and Resuscitation By Zaven Khanjian, AMAA Executive Director/CEO Rival powers in the region should settle their differences... on a negotiating table and not on the dinner tables of its peaceful and innocent population. The explosion that took the lives of scores of innocent Lebanese and wounded thousands in Beirut yesterday is beyond devastating. Whether an accident or the cunning deliberate act of evil hands and minds, the damage is beyond extensive and bearable. The resulting devastation and destruction caused is so widespread and immense that some describe it as unseen or unexperienced during the 15-year civil war. A country severely suffering from political, economic, financial and health crisis has now experienced violence and physical damage to life and properties. Our hearts cry for the victims of the explosion and their families. It is my hope and prayer that this does not lead into widespread violence in a country that has for ages offered the illumination of education, freedom of movement and expression, it’s natural beauty and the warmth of its people to the region and beyond. It is where my alma mater is. May the victims Rest In Peace and may the Holy Spirit console loved ones and families with its power which is beyond understanding. Lebanon, now, more than ever, desperately needs two things. 1) PEACE, first and foremost. Since independence in the 40s, and because of the abundant vital freedoms that are alien to the region; the atmosphere of free expression, free press, free access and the beautiful natural amenities the country is blessed with and has offered, Lebanon has been the focal point and center of all clandestine and covert operations, intrigues and conspiracies plotted in the region. This small, once majority Christian nation in the heart of the Near East, lying on the shores of the Mediterranean is tired of the rivalries and duels, strives and struggles carried out on its soil. Lebanon today, beyond its corrupt political elite, has been subjected to collective punishment through direct or indirect sanctions which have suffocated its economy, paralyzed its trade and is on its way to starve the country and its population. In a humanitarian spirit that is par with our values, it is imperative that inhumane sanctions in the region leading to and resulting in the suffering of millions be lifted immediately. Rival powers in the region should settle their differences around a negotiating table and not the dinner tables of its peaceful and innocent population. PEACE is imperative and top priority in Lebanon and beyond. 2) REBUILDING THE NATION. Struck with the curses of political, economic, financial plus COVID-19 ailments, Lebanon now needs all decent, loving and caring hands in the world to come to its rescue. Emergency assistance including, food, provision, medicine, shelter that was urgently needed yesterday are supplemented today with the simplest of needs; cover (glass or other) for the shattered structural and moral windows and doors of the country. All destructive hands off Lebanon. This is an appeal to all peace loving, compassionate and Christ centered hands and hearts to reach out and save Lebanon and the region beyond. The AMAA is committed to unabashedly continue its indiscriminative emergency assistance to our communities in Lebanon injecting HOPE and revival. Thank you for your support. 09.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS Multiple Explosions Rock Downtown Beirut, Lebanon August 4, 2020 Together with the world, AMAA learned that today, in the evening (EST/PT morning), multiple explosions rocked a downtown area in Beirut, Lebanon and that the damage is extensive. Casualties are feared and the area hospitals are overwhelmed with injured people. It is not yet known what caused the explosions. The blast was said to have been heard 25 miles south of the city and the streets in Beirut a...re paved with glass. Zaven Khanjian, AMAA Executive Director/CEO, connected with Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian, President of Haigazian University and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Union of the Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East. Rev. Haidostian communicated that there are no known casualties within our community, however the damage to our area schools and buildings caused by the explosion is significant. This includes the Armenian Evangelical Central High School of Ashrfieh, Armenian Evangelical College, First Armenian Evangelical Church and Haigazian University. Let us keep Lebanon and our brothers and sisters there in our prayers. Your prayers for their safety are needed now more than ever as the school year begins. Please go to the link below to read and see the photos of our damaged schools.

09.01.2022 On this Lord’s day, Sunday morning, September 27, 2020, once again the borders of the peace loving nation of Artsakh Republic is violated. Once again, the peace...ful civilian population of Artsakh is attacked, rushing women and children to shelters. Once again, hired mercenaries lifted from the hot spots in the Near East have joined the Azeri assault. Once again, cities, towns and villages, where the population were peacefully preparing to attend Sunday worship services, are bombarded by artillery and military assault drones. Once again, the adventurous leadership in Azerbaijan has ventured aggression and force to impose their violent solution to the conflict. The Armenian Missionary Association of America joins the entire Armenian nation and the civilized world and in the strongest terms, condemns this aggression. AMAA places its facilities in the Artsakh Republic under the disposal of the civilian authorities to shelter women, children and the elderly. AMAA calls on all peace loving people and nations to join in prayer, seeking guidance and wisdom from God Almighty and the divine imposition of peace in the land of Noah. All men and nations created by God Almighty have an unalienable right to a peaceful life. The people of Artsakh are not an exception. -A message by AMAA Executive Director/CEO, Zaven Khanjian Arayik Harutyunyan

03.01.2022 AMA-Australia COVID-19 Fundraising Reaches $17,200.00 of the Targeted $25,000.00 The Armenian Missionary Association of Australia (AMA-Australia) a registered Incorporation in Australia and acting as a charity, pursues the same aims as the Armenian Missionary Association of America (AMA-America), which is to extend a helping hand to our brothers and sisters in Armenia, Artsakh and the Middle East, struggling and facing a hard time to make ends meet. AMA-Australia’s Board of D...irectors is aware of the financial difficulties that our brothers and sisters in Armenia/Artsakh and Lebanon have been struggling with COVID-19 pandemic and the increasing economic difficulties and challenges they face. Based on this fact, we have resolved to extend our helping hand to aid those who have lost income and are unable to care for their families. Those of us who live in developed nations and countries, such as Australia, are fortunate, because the number of COVID-19 cases and casualties are lower and we are fortunate to receive assistance and financial support from our governments. However, those who live in developing countries, are left to deal with their financial crisis on their own, even after emerging from the crisis. In our efforts to alleviate the suffering for those less fortunate, we kindly requested that you partner with us in our outreach programs to help the victims of this worldwide pandemic. We have already raised a sum of $17,200.00 Australian dollars of our target of $25,000.00 Australian dollars. We need your help to reach or target, to make our contribution to the AMA-America COVID-19 Fundraising substantial! Please give and be generous in supporting this program. Legislative Council of South Australia Joins House of Assembly In Recognising the Republic of Artsakh South Australia’s Legislative Council has joine...d the House of Assembly in recognising the Republic of Artsakh’s rights to self-determination in a historic motion passed on 17th February 2021, reported the Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC-AU). The President of ACASA, Ms. Elena Gasparyan echoed those sentiments... READ THE REST AT http://www.anc.org.au//Legislative-Council-of-South-Austra
