20.01.2022 #PricingTiers - How much money and or time are you losing by not effectively marking up your materials by using Scaled Pricing in #simPRO Scaling Pricing allows you to decrease your mark up from cost or trade based on the cost price of the item. Set your levels for lower value items to have higher mark ups to increase your margin on your materials and your overall #profitandloss - to access this feature, click on System > Set Up > Materials > Pricing Tiers

20.01.2022 Staying on top of your health, mentally and physically. This is a bit of a different tact from simPRO posts but still really important. It's something that I think all business owners struggle with from time to time, I know I have and still do. As an implementation/business consultant for the past 7 years and travelling for a living, I've found it incredibly hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle when you are working 8 hours a day, sometimes travelling 2-3 hours per day, work...ing 'out of hours' (if there is such a thing) eating on the run and a lack of routine with sleep and exercise. So, how can we overcome this? * See a professional about a realistic meal plan - you can eat better with little time on your hands, it's about preparation - Foods can be disposable while living on the go * Exercise when you can, however you can - You don't need gym memberships to go for a run, do push ups, sit ups or squats - as mentally fried as you may be, this needs to be a priority and once you start, you'll have so much more energy for work. * Get some sleep - your mind and body need it. * Supplements - Again, consult with a professional to see if there are any supplements that can assist with energy levels and focus. 20.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone, On the 30th of January, Id like to offer up a days simPRO training in Melbourne with 100% of the price being donated to the Red Cross or a Charity of your choice (so long as its bush fire related). The standard cost is $1300+GST. I cant do much to help fight the fires but hopefully this can help people or animals in need. If youve been interested in some training, what better way to go about it than knowing the cost is going to a good cause. ... Please share this around, Id like to reach as many people as possible Im open to ideas as well, if this gathers some traction, perhaps we could turn it into an auction and see what we can do as a simPRO community. 15.01.2022 Fantastic day today with Mark Layton from Express Electrical & Fire. Mark generously took up my post about donating a days training cost and it's win, wins all round. Great day of simPRO training with $650 being donated to the Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria Welfare Fund and $650 being donated to Wildlife Victoria. Really happy that we could do our part in helping two amazing causes.

14.01.2022 Profit & Loss. When was the last time you updated your employees to make sure your actuals for labour was correct? Not so fun fact about Labour actuals in in #simPRO, they cannot be backdated and simPRO isn't designed too. If you've given your employees a pay rise, you don't want simPRO to retrospectively update all your past jobs labour. If you haven't done so recently, open your techs employee cards, click on the rates tab and go through making sure their pay rates, on-c...osts and overhead recovery are all correct for better looking and more accurate reports #amakconsulting #profitandloss #labourrates See more

Simply navigate to Reports > View Reports > Mobile > Mobile Status log, filter out a date and the tech to get Geo-Stamps for their Travel, On-Site and Submission via Connect or simPRO Mobile Easy done!

12.01.2022 #Catalogue Purchase History Catalogues have a history? Whats this for? Ever had a product recall and need to be able to filter when a part was bought or sold? Open the Catalogue item, click the history tab, enter a date range and off you go - you can even export the results if you like. How goods that!

12.01.2022 #Catalogue Items I get so many questions about how to organise and find items in the #simPRO Catalogue - One of the most effective tools to use is the favorites folder - This should contain your most commonly used items. When searching, tick the show favorites only box or if you want the entire listing, deselect it. But how do I know what items to put in there you ask.. Easy, run the Top Purchases Report, at the very bottom use the footer option to move those items to Favorites. Boom, problem solved

09.01.2022 Viewing time in Hours or Minutes How incredible would it be to be able to switch from quoting / marking up a job from 60 minutes to 1 Hour in #simPRO! If you're stuck and didn't realise you can swap, open your employee card, click settings and change from Minutes to Hours. How easy is that and you can retire the calculator (for this anywho)
