25.01.2022 Updates re-NANT Cricket Running Shield Tournament 2018 The third game of this year’s NANT Cricket Running Shield Tournament was between last year’s winner, Chit...wan Tiger Cricket Club and KBA Global Cricket Club. KBA won the toss and elected to bat. With the loss of early wickets, KBA were immediately on the backfoot. However, Kishor Rijal along with Amar Khatri and Sumit Dhakal provided some steady ship while team captain, Bhimarjun made a quick fire 30 off just 15 balls. With assistance from other batsman as well, KBA Global were able to post a competitive score of 127 runs in their 20 overs. Saramsha was peak of the bowler for Chitwan Tiger with 3 wickets. Chasing 128 for victory, Chitwan Tiger got off to a quick start thanks to Saramsha’s power hitting early on. With Saramsha’s wicket, Ronald and the team captain, Gunjan were able to control the innings and displayed some eye-catching stroke plays. At the end, Chitwan Tiger’s batting were too strong and crushed home with 5 wickets in hand. For his match winning knock of 56 not out, Ronald Dallakoti was judged Man of the Match. 23.01.2022 Updates re-NANT Cricket Running Shield Tournament 2018 This year’s NANT Cricket Tournament started with the game between last year’s runner-up Gorkha Warriors C...ricket Club and KBA Global Cricket Club. Winning the toss, Gorkha Warriors chose to bat first. With a solid opening stance between Lilaraj Niroula and Bikram Rana and a sensible batting by Manoj Bhatta during the middle overs, Gorkha Warriors posted a competitive total of 151 in 20 overs. Roshan Chettri was the peak of the bowler for KBA Global with 3 wickets. Chasing a competitive total, KBA Global’s innings did not go according to plan with loss of early wickets. Sumit Dhakal and Bhimarjun gave some control to the inning while Amar Khatri provided some late entertainment with a quick fire 24 runs of just 14 balls. However, In the end, KBA were 54 runs short. For his crucial 3 wickets and 12 runs, Gorkha Warriors’ captain Alok Kharel was judged Man of the Match. Thank you to Firoj Rana for awesome photography. 16.01.2022 Updates re-NANT Cricket Running Shield Tournament 2018 The second game of this year’s NANT Cricket Running Shield Tournament was between Gorkha Warriors and Dar...win Hearts Cricket Club. With a win already under their belt, Gorkha Warriors were buoyed with confidence while Darwin Hearts were looking for a winning start to the tournament. Gorkha Warrior’s captain Alok Kharel won the toss and chose to bowl first. Darwin Hearts openers got off to a quick start with Rabindra Gurung especially being very aggressive up front while his counterparts, Bibek Chalise was also hitting bad balls away. Bibek Chalise and Arun Kandel provided some late impetus to the innings. Bibek Chalise was the highest run scorer for the Hearts with a solid 48 runs. Darwin Hearts were all out for 124 runs. Newcomer, Prabhat Rauniyar was the peak of the bowler for Gorkha Warriors with 4 wickets. In return, Gorkha Warriors innings never really got going. Lilaraj Niroula was the highest run scorer for the team with 32 runs while the ever-aggressive Niroj Lama provided some power hittings during the middle overs with 21 runs off just 16 balls. In the end, Gorkha Warriors were 16 runs short. Dipesh Kadel was the peak of the bowler for Darwin Hearts with 4 important wickets. For his 49 runs, Bibek Chalise was judged Man of the Match.
