24.01.2022 Recently, 3 of our staff members, a bus driver and a dog took 17 of Gosnells Village residents down to a secluded spot on the Mandurah Estuary for a day out crabbing, with the promise of providing all residents a feast of crabs the following day for lunch. We enjoyed relaxing under the shady trees with a few drinks, cruising on the boat and dropping pots. Some were game enough to wade through the water scooping for crabs. So how many crabs did we catch? ... About 40 undersized ones, which were thrown back and just 1, ONE crab of legal size. So unfortunately there was no feast to be had ..... actually, who did end up with that 1 tasty crab?

23.01.2022 Today we had the pleasure of the very lovely Libby come and sing for us. Libby had a beautiful voice and sang a wide range of songs.

We were excited to recently be advised that our Albany Village has just been awarded the Best Business Garden award for January 2020 by the Keep Albany Beautiful organisation.

12.01.2022 We have over 150 active volunteers at Amaroo who are all valued and do an amazing job in and around the village and caring centres. Yesterday some of our volunteers were nominated for the annual Burt Volunteer Award in Armadale for their efforts in our Amaroo community. Well done to all of our nominees - Millie, David, Doug, Jo and John - keep up the great work!

06.01.2022 Elvis was in the building! Pat Vegas who is an Elvis impersonator came to visit our residents for the afternoon and there was plenty of hip-shaking as Elvis gave our residents a great selection of rock and roll songs.

05.01.2022 A magical moment happened. As Little Miss Sqeezebox began to play Somewhere Over The Rainbow, a beautiful double rainbow appeared above us.
