25.01.2022 It’s dumping!! Gonna be a magic September on the slopes #springskiingbestskiing

24.01.2022 It's started... and here's a taste of it

24.01.2022 Mt Buller has re-opened to the public this morning (13/01/2020). We are incredibly grateful to all the emergency services workers and volunteers that have done... such an outstanding job preparing and protecting the resorts. In particular for all the Forest Fire Management work by DELWP. All walking and mountain bike trails on Mt Buller are now open and also a number of on-mountain operators have re-opened. We welcome guests to start visiting and to support our local businesses who have been affected. Check out what businesses are open here: https://www.mtbuller.com.au/Summer/events/whats-on EDIT: Mt Stirling is now open

16.01.2022 This update provides some local information regarding Mt Buller & Mt Stirling shared by Resort Management at 11am Sat 4 January. Please follow Vic Emergency t...o access rolling updates. Please note the resort is closed to visitors at this time and safety is the top priority. There have been two fires burning south east of the resorts for several days. The closest one at Rocky Nob was declared contained last night, which was the greatest concern for the two resorts. The further one at Bluff Creek has not been contained and while unlikely, it could sweep over the ridge towards the resorts with the predicted wind change. Water bombing recommenced for a couple of hours yesterday evening when the smoke cleared a little. A dozer line was put in to protect Bluff Hutt. The Police closed Mt Buller Road yesterday afternoon. Buller Ski Lifts (BSL) has a team of 10 on mountain and has tested their generators and primed the snowguns so they can be activated if necessary. Two Water Operators are on mountain to deal with any water issues. The hydrants and Resort Management generators have been prepared. The CFA has a team of 3 on-mountain, and some of the BSL staff are also CFA members. The resort management phone number has been redirected to a mobile and is being manned off-mountain for extended hours. There is a team member in the Control Centre at Mansfield. A sweep was conducted at Mt Stirling this morning to check no-one remains there. The attached pictures show a helicopter at work at 6pm last night, the village at 7:30 this morning and the view to the Bluff at 7:30 this morning. The Mt Buller community thanks the small, dedicated team who remain and are preparing to protect the resort.

13.01.2022 Mt Buller Pillow Factory is open. At least you can sob into them over social media. #halfametre #staysafestayhome
