25.01.2022 I just wanted to share with you what Felicity Grace (your facilitator for the upcoming Family Constellations training) wrote on the event this afternoon.............. I have been reading on the Power Threat Meaning (PTM) Framework. This Framework replaces old theories of mental illness that focus on ‘What is wrong with you?’ with four key questions: ‘What has happened to you?’ (How is Power operating in your life?) ‘How did it affect you?’ (What kind of Threats does t...his pose?) ‘What sense did you make of it?’ (What is the Meaning of these situations and experiences to you?) ‘What did you have to do to survive?’ (What kinds of Threat Response are you using?) In addressing these causes of mental distress two further questions are: ‘What are your strengths?’ (What access to Power resources do you have?) ‘What is your story?’ (to help integrate all of the above) One of the healing aspects of Family Constellations is that it offers a safe group space in which to explore our family experience and story and repair our sense of self safety and belonging.
