25.01.2022 Cash rate held at a record low of 0.25% The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) has decided to leave the cash rate unchanged at 0.25 per cent. In the official statement released by the RBA, it was stated that substantial liquidity measures being used across our financial system are helping to support credit and maintain low funding costs in the economy. ... But what does that mean for the housing and credit sectors? Governor Philip Lowe had this to say: This will help lower funding costs across the banking system and provides an incentive for lenders to support credit to businesses, especially small and medium-sized businesses. As home loan rates continue to drop, this is the ideal time to review your current loan. Speak to us today!
