20.01.2022 Did you know that our Gairloch Clubrooms, home to the AMPJFC is 21 years old?? Our Clubrooms are a result of community contributions and government grants. We are grateful for our amazing Hawks family, past and present. We hope to celebrate our wonderful history of all those connected to our Clubs past as we proceed to our new digs at Shirley Strickland some time during season 2021, bringing with us all the memorabilia, leaving behind a little bit of our heart.

Terrific effort young man, this fella is going places and has a very bright future in footy. AMPJFC is very proud to see you rewarded for your efforts.

19.01.2022 This weekend, Sunday 20th September at 11:15am, Year 11 Caleb Gorman will celebrate his magnificent football career with AMPJFC at Shirley Strickland Oval Ardross, running through the 150 Milestone banner, representing the number of games he has played in the brown and gold as a junior. Caleb is the 2nd player in our Clubs history to reach these heights, and the first to still be wearing the brown and gold. We are so proud of you Caleb!! Caleb Gorman started with us in 2009 ...as a PP Auskicker and has continued through the juniors and youth teams for 12 years as a Hawk. He has achieved both team and individual success along the way with the 2019 Year 10 Premiership, district and club awards for Fairest and Best and selection in East Fremantle Districts development squad. He epitomises the very values underpinning our Club: loyalty, respect, passion, strength, courage and giving your all, week in and week out. Caleb is known for loving a good contest and if you lose sight of him, you know he will be at the bottom of the pack with eyes only for the ball! When you think of our Club anthem, you think of Caleb Gorman as he Hunts Like a Tiger and Swoops like a Hawk across the ground with stealth! To honour this auspicious occasion AMPJFC would like to invite all of our members, friends and players to join us as we celebrate Calebs 150 Game Milestone Banner run prior to the Year 11 game which is due to start at 11:30. We ask all players to present at Shirley Strickland by 11am in their Hawks playing jumper. The players will form a guard of honour as Caleb makes his way from the club room at Shirley, through the banner and onto the ground prior to the game.

16.01.2022 Today we celebrated a champion of our Club, Caleb Gorman as he played his 150th game of junior footy with the Hawks! An incredible achievement, showing loyalty, passion and dedication! We are incredibly proud to have you wear the brown and gold Caleb for our Hawks Club, youve done us proud!

15.01.2022 Finally back on their home turf, with only 3 fixtured home games for the season, the Year 11s were on fire as they took on their arch rival Palmyra in the final round of the season. It was a tough battle, but our boys set the place alight in the final quarter in front of a large finals-atmosphere crowd and proved too strong for Palmyra, winning 12.8.80 to 7.8.50. The win pushed them back up into 4th place on the ladder on percentage, nudging out Palmyra.

15.01.2022 Congratulations to AMPJFC all time club legend, Coach, Committee member and AMPJFC Life Member, 2020 Year 11 Coach Dave Da Silva, winning the Youth Coach of the Year for the East Fremantle District at the Fremantle Conference Awards Night. This award is recognition for Dave's long time commitment and dedication to our Club, players and community, representing 14 years of coaching with AMPJFC. Dave coached at AMPJFC while his boys, Cooper and Jarman, played Auskick and Juniors..., up to Year 9. At the end of season 2018, Dave's services were called on again, bringing him out of coaching retirement when there was a call-out to head the coaching team for our Year 10s in 2019. Dave oozes footy passion and goes that extra mile to motivate both players and parents, who buy into the belief of ‘hard work will pay off’. Dave provides constant positive feedback and goal setting through regular conversations with players and emails to parents/players after games and even training sessions, providing humorous and valuable post game/training reviews. He is loved and respected by players, parents and the coaching team. 2019 saw him reach the highest achievement as a coach for this Year 10 team winning the Premiership which had alluded the team previously. Under his guidance and on the back of a successful 2019 campaign, the Year 10 team all re-signed on and it was a real coup for the Club to establish a Year 11 team in 2020. In 2020 Dave Da Silva commenced pre-season beach training for the 11s and with his inclusive approach, he also invited the Year 9 and 10 team to join them. While COVID-19 may have quelled the enthusiasm of many, Dave used the time to assist the AMPJFC Coach coordinator Chris Bates in developing a series of video training drills and skills shared to our wider footy community. Dave has also been responsible for establishing and strengthening the relationship with Clontarf Aboriginal boarding college to the point where our Club has become the preferred destination for Clontarf students to join our Year 7-12 Youth teams. Once again the Year 11 team in 2020 was very competitive with only a few narrow losses in a tough Year 11/12 competition. Looking forward, 2021 will mark a new era for the AMPJFC with a proposed Year 12 team competing under Dave’s guidance a fantastic outcome for our club and families.

14.01.2022 Year 11 milestones: Congratulations to Year 11 Matthew Cain on a stellar career with the Hawks, achieving a massive 125 games of footy with our Club. We are all very proud of your hard work and dedication Matthew!!

14.01.2022 Well done Auskickers! Auskick Coordinator Danielle Priestly recently organised a Superheroes day for the Auskickers which raised funds for Fairgame, a charity which supports kids in vulnerable communities through sport. Together with Funds raised by gold coin donations and sponsorship by PCB Holdings, AMPJFC raised a total of $1,165.40!!! Fantastic everyone!!!

09.01.2022 Congratulations to our past players Perths Logan McDonald & Jaiden Hunter and East Freo Sharks bottom ager Josh Browne (2021 draft) who have been selected in WAs State U18s for the two NAB AFL All-Stars Exhibition matches on October 10 and 17. In the wake of the NAB AFL U18 National Champions cancellation due to COVID-19, each state is hosting exhibition matches to showcase their talent before the 2020 AFL National Draft, giving selected players a chance to shine in front of AFL club selectors prior to the 2020 National draft in November.
