25.01.2022 WE NEED YOUR HELP, Our pony club has our annual horse trials on Sunday. We are running our event as a fundraiser for Mallacoota Pony Club. We have donated $5 for every entry as well as all our raffle proceeds. We need your help to make our raffle amazing. If you can donate anything at all horsey or non horsey please send me a message. We would really appreciate it.

22.01.2022 Lilydale and Mooroolbark pony club are extremely lucky to have Dressage coach Justine Greer accept our invitation to be one of our specialist coaches at Eventing with the stars. Justine is a Dressage specialist, and has won EV Dressage coach of the year 2017 and 2018! Justine trained in Denmark with Morten Thompson in 2004 for 6 months after she won Australian young rider of the year. Justine is a Grand Prix rider and trains all her horses from 3 year old babies, through EA... levels to FEI, from Small Tour to Grand Prix. She has notable wins throughout Australia on her horses. The small tour championship wins with Jaybee Angelina in Brisbane and throughout Victoria, Jaybee Cavalier winning the Prix St George cup 2018 and the Grand Prix freestyle, and her young horse Yarramee Fonzie winning DWTS in his 4year old class 2018, and all of them winning more events than I can list! 12.01.2022 This year we are delighted to announce Eventing coach, Simon Tainsh will be joining us at Eventing with the stars. Simon needs no introduction as he is a very popular and well liked level 1 Eventing Coach. Simon coaches many riders and clients horses to FEI levels and has been an Eventing squad coach at EV. He competes at 4 star level, and is regularly competing around Australia, Melbourne 3DE, Sydney 3DE and Adelaide 3DE, just to name a few. Simon is an accredited Racing Vi...ctoria Off the Track re-trainer, one of his 4 star horses, Punching in a Dream, was a credit to his training winning the best performed Thoroughbred in the 4 star section at Melbourne 3DE 2019 and was also Victorian TB Eventing horse of the year 2019. So know you will be in safe hands on cross country at our clinic, especially if you have your own off the track thoroughbred! 09.01.2022 Eventing with the stars clinic is on again October 3-4 2020 hosted by Lilydale and Mooroolbark pony club. We are excited to announce Brook Dobbin will be joining us this in this years clinic, Eventing with the Stars, as one of our Showjumping specialist coaches. Brook is a level 2 showjumping coach. He is EV’s Jumping Victoria State squad coach. Brook won Victoria’s showjumping rider of the year 2019 riding the Showjumping horse of the year.... An international Grand Prix competitor, and representing Australia many times, Brook trains and competes horses to FEI national level and has been shortlisted for the Olympics twice. Bookings for this clinic will be opening soon, we will keep you all posted as soon as it does.

08.01.2022 Scottie Barclay is back! We are delighted to say the popular Showjumping coach is returning to Lilydale and Mooroolbark pony clubs Eventing with the stars clinic 2020. Scottie spent 10 years in Europe competing and training and in that time built a reputable Showjumping business whilst he was there. Scottie was competing Grand Prix internationally for Australia, but did ride for Ireland in the World Young Horse Championships in Zangerscheide, Belgium, 2007. Working with the... worlds best trainers and competing with the best showjumpers has given Scottie the experience that makes him the highly sort after coach he is here at home. Scottie loves helping riders achieve their goals, and his classes are always popular with everyone from children to adults. We will be opening the clinic soon, keep an eye on our page. See more

06.01.2022 Eventing with the stars clinic is on again October 3-4 2020. Lilydale and Mooroolbark pony club have an amazing line up of elite specialist coaches participating in this years event. We are thrilled to say Matt Archibald is back again with his exceptional coaching methods, teaching dressage to everyone from children on ponies to adults on advanced horses. Matt is a Dressage and seat specialist, and a Grand Prix rider who has competed and trained horses to FEI national level.... He has an interest in bio-mechanics of both horse and rider and the connection in between. Everyone loves Matt’s lessons! See more

06.01.2022 WOW... What a response over night to our " Clinic with the Stars". If you're sitting on the fence and not sure if you want to enter. Don't sit to long spots are filling fast. This is a fantastic clinic definitely one not to be missed. We have had a few messages about regarding refunds around the COVID 19. If we can not run because of restrictions you will get a full refund. Lets hope this dosen't happen though. Look forward to seeing you all in October

02.01.2022 Ran out of time to plait for our horse trials. Give this lovely girl a call.

01.01.2022 This horse was a 4* horse. He had jumped round Badminton and Burghley. He had more starts eventing than I’d had hot dinners. He was a well seasoned profession...al. Yet here we are jumping around an unaffiliated 80cm. Why? Because although HE had jumped all the big tracks, WE hadn’t. I’d jumped him around courses at home a few times, but we didn’t know each other very well and I wanted a track that I knew I would be 110% confident jumping. Once you’ve clicked with a horse, worked out each others quirks and habits, everything falls into place and the size of the fence becomes irrelevant. But before that, you have to allow room for error and miscommunications. Trust is not born overnight, it takes time to build. So I entered the 80 and jumped double clear with a big smile on my face, instead of skidding round a 1.10 by the seat of my pants because I had no idea how this horse liked or needed to be ridden. Never feel the height of a fence is a reflection of you or your horses ability. Equally, just because a horse has done it all, doesn’t mean the next rider has to start where they left off. Do what you need to do. Run your own race.
