23.01.2022 Dear Fellow Malaysians, Trust you are well. As you are aware, the Consulate of Malaysia in Sydney currently does not provide Malaysian passport issuance and renewal services. In order to renew their Malaysian passports, Malaysians in Sydney and across NSW are required to travel to the High Commission of Malaysia located in Canberra.... With that in mind, the Australia Malaysia Business Council NSW & ACT ("AMBC") and the Australian Malaysian Singaporean Association ("AMSA") have jointly organised a petition to kindly request the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia and the Ministry of Home Affairs of Malaysia to provide Malaysian Passport issuance and renewal services at the Consulate of Malaysia in Sydney. 20.01.2022 It is with great sadness that I report to you all that our colleague Dr Bin Yap died suddenly at his Point Claire home in May of this year. Due to the restrictive COVID19 conditions Bin had a small family funeral and was laid to rest beside his wife Edna. Bin was born in Malaysia but completed his Science and Masters of Science degree at RMIT in Melbourne. He worked with CSIRO in Tasmania, working in the wood pulping industry before moving his family to Sydney to work. Our t...houghts are with his sons Raznal, Rowan and Terence. "Bin was diligent, innovative , good communicator, caring and knowledgeable person. Bin put in hundreds or countless hours in voluntary work for the good of AMSA."
